DESCRIPTION OF CLASSES
AQUA
Aqua – Get fit in these fun water
workouts that will help to build strength
and cardio vascular fitness without the
impact on the joints.
Aqua Fit - is a cardio, conditioning, low impact workout in
the pool. Whilst it's fun, it's more of a workout than it may
look. See pool Timetable for class times.
Dance - great for burning those calories
and toning that body whilst learning new
dance moves from various genres.
Dance Cabaret is a fun, calorie burning, ‘sassy’ aerobic
dance workouts set to cabaret and show tunes.
Zumba - helps you to achieve long-term benefits while
experiencing an absolute blast in one exciting hour of
calorie burning Latin dance fitness.
ENERGY
Energy – Great for burning calories
during and after exercise whilst
important for your heart health.
Boxercise - using boxing fitness techniques which
deliver a high-aerobic, high-energy, all over, body workout
with every punch and jab. Designed to burn fat and help
you tone up using your pad and gloves.
Fitball - A full body workout using the Swiss ball bands
and dumbells. Suitable for all ages and abilities. A great
way to have a top to toe workout and have loads of fun
doing it.
Fitmix - Time to mix it up with a combination of step
moves mixed with dumbbell and body weight circuit
exercises combined with a great cardio and fat burn
shadow boxing workout.
Freestyle Pump - Tone up and burn calories in this
aerobic workout using your choice of light to moderate
studio weights providing a full body workout.
Group Cycling - is a group indoor cycling class,
structured to music, including hill climbs, sprints and
more. Led by an inspiring instructor, who will guide and
motivate you through the session.
HIIT - High Intensity Interval Training - maximum effort
periods mixed with reduced effort in recovery periods.
The advantage of this form of cardio is that you will have
an ongoing benefit, even after your exercise.
Triple Workout - Consisting of three elements starting
with a step routine followed by a body combat blast and
finished with an ab routine for a complete body workout.

STRENGTH
Strength – Build fitness and strength
while improving energy levels, flexibility,
agility and core strength.
Ab Attack - is a challenging class that works to tone and
condition all the major muscles of your core. Come and
try it, you won’t regret it!
Ab and Stretch - Takes you through a full range of
exercises to work your core followed by a complete
stretch routine to help improve your flexibility.
Body Blast - A challenging 30 minute power workout
using barbells designed to improve your strength whilst
improving shape and tone.
Circuits - takes you through a full body workout as you
work your way round a circuit of timed cardio and
resistance exercises.
Functional Fitness - is a total body workout utilising your
own body weight as your main source of resistance. You
are instructed on the correct ways to move through various
exercises whilst still experiencing a challenging workout.
Functional Fitness Dri-Tri - Combines running, cycling
and low resistance functional movements to provide a full
body workout to mimic that of a triathlon without the water.
Kettlebells - gives fast results for strength, endurance
and muscle toning by challenging both the muscular and
cardiovascular systems with dynamic, total body
movements.
PiYO - Combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming
benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility
advantages of yoga. Introducing you to dynamic
sequences that can burn serious calories at the same
time as they length and tone your muscle.

Wellness – Great for building a strong
body which helps to reduce injury,
increase mobility and improve your
posture.
Pilates - is a calm, mindful class that will tighten up your
midriff, power up your core and help you gain better
postural awareness. Ideal if you are looking to reduce
lower back pain.
Yoga - Boost your physical and mental wellbeing utilising
breathing techniques, simple meditation and the adoption
of postures designed to increase strength and flexibility.

+ Classes are for 16s and over, with the exception of Boxercise
which is 13 years+ when accompanied by a participating adult.
+ Classes are open to all abilities.
+ If you are attending a class for the first time, we advise you
introduce yourself to the instructor.
+ If you are suffering from an injury or illness, we recommend you
first consult your GP and inform the instructor of your restrictions.
+ No classes on bank holidays.
+ Parents with children under eight years of age must remain on
site during the class or lesson.
+ Fitness classes are subject to change at short notice and specific
instructors are not guaranteed.
+ Please ensure you arrive for the classes promptly as failure to
do so will result in non attendance.
+ Programme correct at time of going to print.
+ Suitable training shoes must be worn.
Intensity
Green = Low - The perfect way to kick start your fitness plan or
try out a new class - don't be shy, give it a try!
Amber = Medium - Anybody can attend these classes
- just work at your own pace!
Red =
High - Harder, faster or more advanced routines
- not for the faint hearted!
Booking - Book online, at reception, over the phone, or at the kiosk
up to seven days in advance. Payment for non members is required
at time of booking. Non attendance of booked classes will be
charged for members and non members. Customers are required to
record their attendance at reception prior to the class so as not to
incur charges.
Cancellations - Please provide one hour's notice for AM classes
and four hours' notice for any cancellations for PM classes, so as
not to incur charges.
