On a cool sunny morning 97 riders signed on for the points race and it soon became apparent that some riders would need to re­
think their race tactics, as early aggression was the name of the game.
A GRADE
This race started fast with small groups trying to get away to win the 1st sprint which was won by Eddie Salas; after that Mark
Crawford broke away to win the second sprint. Then a group of about 7 riders broke away and the 3rd sprint was won by Eddie
Salas. Peter Milostic than broke away from the leading group to take the final four sprints.

This race started fast with Jonathan Kooy breaking away to win the first 4 sprints. He was then caught by Jason Lindsay and Jasen
Douglis ­ these two dropped Jonathan who fell back to the pack and Jason won the next two sprints.

This group kept a high tempo so no one could breakaway (indeed quite a few were dropped) so it came down to bunch sprints with
Charlie Heuston winning the 1st and 3rd sprints and Julian Cuff winning the other three sprints.

This race kept a good tempo to keep the group together and to conserve energy for the sprints. This played into the hands of Carl
