Math – We will be working on problem
solving with subtraction. They will have a
Test on Thursday over Module 8. We will
continue with 2 digit subtraction in Module
9.
Religion – We will be learning about Jesus’
birth, the wise men, and the boy Jesus in the
Temple.
Science – We will be reviewing for their
test. They will have a test over Unit 5 on
Tuesday! We will then start All About
Weather.

Memory Work – Friday
10th Commandment: You shall not covet
your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant
or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or
anything that belongs to your neighbor.
What does this mean? We should fear and
love God so that we do not entice or force
away our neighbor’s wife, workers, or
animals, or turn them against him, but
urge them to stay and do their duty.
****They will be graded over the
commandment, but because it is long I will
give 5 extra bonus points if they can say the
commandment and the what does this mean!
Reading – We will be starting our
American Tall Tale Unit. We will be
reading Paul Bunyan and John Henry this
week. We will be working on Problem and
Solution, and Sequencing.

Phonics – We will be learning soft g,
trigraph dge, and spelling rules with dge and
tch.
Social Studies – We will be working on
how to use Map Scales. We will review and
they will have a quiz on Thursday. They
will have Map Quiz 5 on Friday. We will
add Iowa, Missouri, and Minnesota for next
week’s Map Quiz 6.
Health – We will be learning about what not
to put into our bodies!
Writing Workshop – We are learning how
to write stories.
Computer – We will be focused on opening
and saving documents.
Art – We will be painting tissue for Eric
Carle projects!
