Spotlight on Whole School
SATs
We have been very proud of our young people in Y6 this week. Each and every one
gave of their best. The positive attitude towards the SATs has been excellent. Every
child did their best. What more could we ask for? Well done children. Enjoy your
weekend! Y2 are continuing their tests during May so we keep them in our prayers.

Communion
First Holy Communion Saturday 13th May
Please keep Mrs Marlowe’s children in your prayers as they receive the Sacrament of
Holy Communion on Saturday at 11.00am. Lets hope the sun shines for this special
day.
Children have been given an order of service booklet to take home today as a
keepsake. Do not worry about brining this to tomorrow’s Mass as the order of service
will be on the large screen in Church.
Tuesday 14 May
A Prayer by a child making her First Holy Communion
Dear Jesus, at the Last Supper you gave yourself to your friends. Now you will give
yourself to me for the first time on Sunday. I feel you are really close to me. I know
now that I am safe with you. You love me, Jesus. You know me very well. You know
how much I love you and want to love you even more. Come to me, Lord Jesus, and
stay with me, and make me always yours.
Communion
May is the month of Mary
Our Rosary club will be on at lunchtime during May. Children may bring their own
Rosary beads in from home. This is a lovely opportunity for them to pray this special
prayer.
Lost Property
A dog photo album has been found by a member of the public on a beach in
Newquay, Cornwall. They believe it belongs to someone from Holy Family. If you have
lost one please call Mrs Foster on 01726 892766.
School Uniform
As the weather improves can we please remind parents of the school uniform
requirements:
Summer Uniform - as Winter uniform or:
Boys: Trousers/shorts - grey, white short sleeved shirt or polo shirt (no logos)
Girls: Blue gingham dress, grey pinafore/skirt, short sleeve blouse
Shoes: Black shoes (no logos). No sandals, boots, or trainers please.
Jewellery: Watch permissible, no other items of jewellery except earring studs (girls)
which must be removed in PE lessons or covered with tape.
Taster Sessions
As you can see from this weeks front page, on Thursday our catering providers AIP
held a taster session on the playground after school. We hope you all enjoyed being
given the opportunity to try the food served to the children in the canteen. If your
child would like to switch from packed lunches to school meals please contact Carly in
the school office.
