Only a couple of months into 2013,
and already our credit union is
bustling with activity!
One of the big changes coming in
late April or early May, we will have
ANNAMARIE DEYOUNG access to the CO-OP ATM Network.
We are thrilled about this change,
as members will now have access to 30,000+ fee free
ATMs around the nation. This will have some affect on
members, so please take the time to review the details
about the change in this newsletter. Despite a few small
changes, we really think this change will be of great
benefit to members, giving you easier access to your
money without having to incur fees.
Also happening now is our $3,000,000 Stronger Program.
The response from our communities has been great.
We have already managed to save residents almost
$2 million! Remember, this program isn’t just open to
members: Anyone in Park, Gallatin and Sweet Grass
Counties is welcome to make an appointment and get a
free savings session, so sign up and invite your friends
and neighbors to do the same. It’s a good option to find
more to ways to save, especially when many budgets are
still so tight from the recession.
For members considering a new home or car this spring,
I encourage you to take a look at our low rates. They are
at their lowest in years, giving you a great opportunity to
save money. Many economic forecasters are saying that
home loan rates may begin to go up slightly toward the
end of this year, so the sooner you buy, the better.

2013 Annual Achievement Awards Scholarship Program
It’s time for our annual scholarship awards! This year we will be offering
six scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each to Park County and Gallatin
County 2013 graduates. Two scholarship winners will be selected from Park
County and four will be selected in Gallatin County.
To apply, you must be a member of Sky Federal Credit Union. Be sure to

Big changes to Sky Federal Credit Union’s
Surcharge-Free ATM Networks Great News!
Is Your Child a
"Savings Sleuth"?
Sky FCU members will now have access to the CO-OP ATM Network! Soon you will have
access to a nationwide network of nearly 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs beginning in late April or early
May 2013. ATM terminals within the CO-OP ATM Network can be found at many credit unions and
select retail locations around the country.

is coming up on April
21-27. In honor of this
year’s “Savings Sleuth” theme,
each deposit made by youth
members at Sky FCU during
youth week will enter them to
win $100 from Sky!
The process will begin with Sky FCU converting from the Instant Cash Network to a new processor.
This conversion date is set for April 10th, 2013. With a membership to this new network, we will
no longer be providing surcharge-free transactions at Wells Fargo or Instant Cash ATM locations. In
January of this year, the Instant Cash ATM Network, which includes the ATM machines at Wells Fargo
locations, decided to begin charging additional fees. This decision to begin charging our Sky FCU
members’ fees to access their own money was unacceptable to us. We chose not to pass on those fees
to you. The additional charges that Sky FCU absorbed required us to review other network options
and make a change.

It’s 4-H and FFA Project Time!
Is your child participating in 4-H or
FFA? Sign them up for our 4-H & FFA
Loan Program.
Created to support our youth members
and emphasize their importance to
the future of our farming and ranching
communities, this loan program allows
your child to fund their project, learn
the loan process and start building a
positive credit history.
Along with the addition of these new surcharge free ATM machines, all of our current ATM card
holders and Business Debit card holders will be issued a new replacement Debit Card. If you are
affected by this change you will have received a letter from the credit union and a replacement card
in March. If you only have a savings account linked to your new debit card you will have the capability
to access ATM’s only. You will not be able to make purchases with this new card. In addition, please
be advised that there will be a two (2) week transition period during this conversion, when some
transactions may possibly be declined, April 10th through April 24th, 2013. This is related to how
transactions are routed through the new networks and is out of our control.
We know how important the convenience of a debit card is to our members. This new network will give
you almost 10 times the ATM locations throughout the United States! You will still have surchargefree access to our local ATM terminals as well.
