The climatic tolerances of a variety must therefore be measured not just according to temperature extremes, but also by seasonal rainfall patterns. The adjacent map shows four major climate zones for the Australian continent. Zones 2 and 4 have wet summers while Zones 1 and 3 have wet winters. To assist in variety selection, please review the Specification Sheet above which nominates the recommended climate zone for each variety.
