Co. Reg No.:193200032W Version No.: V1.0 06-2012 Velocity@ocbc Bill Payment Guide Creating a Bill Payment Instruction Important: Ensure you have created Billing Organisations before you start. The Bill Payment function now enables you to pay your company’s bills online to selected Billing Organisations (BOs). Include other Billing Organisations by simply following these steps: 1) Fill up Velocity@ocbc User Request Form 2) Submit Velocity@ocbc User Request Form to bank Note: Approval will take 7 working days. To view the complete list of Billing Organisations (BOs) which are available on Velocity@ocbc, go to http://www.ocbc.com/personal-banking/Help-and-Support/payments-billing-organizations.html 1 To create a Bill Payment instruction Step 1: Select the Cash tab at the topmost bar Step 2: Select Payments SG Step 3: Select Bill Payment Step 4: Click on New to create a new Bill Payment instruction Step 1 Step 2 ! p p p Step 4 Step 3 p Note: Blue fields indicate mandatory information. Information in the yellow fields will be generated automatically. Step 5: Enter the following fields accordingly: a) Payment Category You have the following options: Option List Description Your selected Billing Organisation (Pre-sign Payment) This refers to a list of Billing Organisations which you have previously registered with Velocity@ocbc. If you have not registered any Billing Organisations before, there will not be any Billing Organisation reflected in this option. Government and Statutory Boards, including Taxes and Fines This refers to the list of Government and Statutory Board Billing Organisations already available on Velocity@ocbc, such as the Land Transport Authority, Singapore Police Force and Urban Redevelopment Authority, etc. Other Billing Organisations This is a list of Billing Organisations already available on Velocity@ocbc, such as OAC Enhanced Care, OAC Hospital Accident Care and OCBC Credit Cards, etc. 2 b) Customer Ref. Number Create your own reference up to a maximum of 16 characters. This will be used for any correspondence with the bank and will appear in your bank statements. c) Debit A/C Number Select the account from which you wish to deduct the payment. The A/C Name field will appear once the account number is selected. d) Amount Payable Amount Payable will indicate the currency and amount which you wish to transfer. Note: Transfer limit for your selected Billing Organisations (Pre-signed Bills) • Daily Limit: maximum of S$3,000 • Monthly Limit: maximum of S$50,000 Transfer limit for Billing Organisations (Non-Pre-signed Bills) • Daily Limit: any amount up till maximum monthly limit • Monthly Limit: maximum of S$5,000 Important: Each customer is only allowed to tag a maximum of 9 bills per billing organisation. If more than 9, the 10th bill and onwards will be rejected. 3 e) Value Date This indicates the date OCBC will process your payment. The value date for Bill Payment must be indicated as the same day on which the transaction is created. f) Billing Organisation Choose your Billing Organisation by clicking on the . The following will appear. Follow these steps to choose your Billing Organisation. (5) (1) (3) (2) (4) 1 (1) Select either Billing Organisation or Bill Reference Number in the search field. (2) To display all your Billing Organistions, enter an asterisk(*) in the for field to select your Billing Organisation. (3) Click Go. (4) Choose your Billing Organisation. (5) Click on OK which is at the top right hand corner. After choosing your Billing Organisation, you will return to the main screen. g) Bill Reference Number This is the unique reference number between the Ordering Customer and the Billing Organisation. For Pre-sign Payments, the Bill Reference Number would be automatically populated. 4 h) Payment Details This field shows additional information to further specify details about this transaction. This field is optional and for your own reference only. Step 6: a) To save transaction details, click Save. b) To save and submit the transactions for the Authoriser(s) to authorise, click Save & Submit to Auth. b) p p a) 5 Once the transaction is submitted for authorisation, its status will change from ENTERED to READY2AUTH. Step 7 : Notify your Authoriser(s) to log in to verify and authorise the transaction before the Bill Payment cut-off time on the value date. Important: In the case of Basic Plus Service Package with transacting capability, the Creator and Authoriser is the same user. Basic Plus Users will be able to view the tabs found in both the Creator and the Authoriser screens. 6
