completed E-Orientation. For more information, visit umkc.edu/isao/eorientation.
4 MANDATORY CHECK-IN SESSION
Students are expected to schedule a check-in session within two days of arriving in Kansas City.
Contact the International Student Affairs Office to schedule a check-in!

submitted TOEFL or IELTS scores. Students who have submitted test scores lower than 100 TOEFL
or 6.5 IELTS also will be required to take the English evaluation.

4 HOUSING
Orientation is the next exciting step in your college journey. Please note, before you
come to Orientation you must complete the online E-Orientation. Then you will attend a
mandatory one-day orientation program on campus that will lay the groundwork for your
success at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. If you do not attend this mandatory
orientation, a hold will be placed on your student account that will prevent you from
enrolling in future semesters.
If you are interested in living on campus, contact Residential Life to learn more about reserving a
dormitory or apartment at info.umkc.edu/housing/contact.
4 CONVOCATION
Fall 2016 Convocation is August 21, 2016. Following the event, there will be fun activities for
new students!
4WELCOME WEEK
All new students are invited to kick off the semester with campus activities such as free movies,
