WHAT IS POKÉ?
Poké is a classic raw salad found in Hawaiian cuisine. The meaning of
the word poké is to cut, cube, or slice.
Poké is a popular dish that can be found almost anywhere throughout
the islands. Traditionally, poké is made from raw fish, salt, seaweed, and
chopped Hawaiian kukui nuts. Updated with a modern Californian twist,
our menu offers a wide variety of bases, sauces, and toppings.
Committed to serving quality ingredients and responsibly-sourced
seafood, we offer sashimi-grade tuna, salmon, octopus, and shrimp
options, in addition to vegetarian tofu poké.
Inspired by our love of the Hawaiian islands, we wanted to
bring our favorite flavors to our neighborhood and offer a
place where anyone can come to enjoy great poké bowls.
We began the journey to open Pokeatery in 2015 with
more than 20 years of experience in sushi restaurants and
a great love of fresh fish.
Before pursuing our journey of owning a restaurant, we
gained valuable business experience working at Atherton
Lane Advisers, LLC, Fisher Asset Management, Yahoo! Inc.,
and BrightRoll, Inc. Our efforts paved the way to
Pokeatery’s success and by August 2016, both of us were
involved in our family business.
Our goal is to make great tasting poké available throughout
the mainland. We continue to delight customers with an
amazing selection of quality seafood, served with flavorful
sauces and toppings.
