Cllr B Rainer welcomed the Councillors and members of the public and opened the Planning meeting
at 7.30pm.

Cllr B Rainer declared an interest in SY/16/02196/FUL. Vice Chair of Planning, Cllr C Alden, would
chair discussion of the item and Cllr Rainer would abstain from voting.

The minutes of the meeting held on 6th July 2016 had been previously circulated and were presented
for approval.

The Clerk had been contacted by Shona Turner, of CDC’s Corporate Information Team to provide an
update on the Audit of Community Facilities; District had asked parishes to annually refresh this
information since 2007– this had been circulated to Members. The information regarding local
community buildings and facilities was held on a database within the Communities Team and needs
to be updated on a regular basis. The Clerk had suggested that the Neighbourhood Plan Working
Group be tasked with working with STC’s officers to review and update the information contained
within the Audit before the deadline.

West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service was undertaking a public consultation on its draft Community
Risk Management Plan, which had been circulated to Members and feedback was invited by 5th
August 2016. The Clerk was directed to respond noting the consultation but stating that STC had no
comments to make.
PL.54/16 TRAFFIC MATTERS
CDC had received request for a temporary road closure in connection with the Selsey Fireworks
event. The closure was required for Paddock Lane, Selsey from the junction of Warner Lane towards
White Horse Caravan park between 6.30pm and 10.30pm on Saturday 15 October 2016. Comments
were invited by 9th August 2016.
Cllr S Newman proposed, seconded by Cllr M Beal, that the temporary road closure request be
supported.
