Voki Project After drawing the name of a historic figure, you will create a Voki avatar for that person. Follow these directions to create your avatar: 1. Go to the website http://www.voki.com/create.php 2. Click on the “Create” tab. 3. To choose a character to begin with, click on the die in the lower left-hand corner of the character’s box until you come to the image you want to start with. Be sure that there is no banner in the upper left-hand corner that says, “Only in Voki Classroom,” or you’ll have to start over. 4. Once you have chosen the avatar that you want to start with, you can start customizing it. Go to the box labeled, “Customize Your Character” and begin choosing faces, hair styles, clothing, etc. You can also customize under the character box where it says “Tweak” and “Color.” 5. Once your avatar looks the way you want, click on “Done” at the bottom of the “Customize Your Character” box. In the “Give It a Voice” box type in this information: a) Who your character is, b) What he/she is known for, c) and Tell whether you think Manifest Destiny was good from your character’s point of view. 6. Choose whatever background you want and then “Publish.” Type in a title for your character, click on “Save” and complete the information to email it to me at [email protected].
