Modell’s Sporting Goods® MVP® Rewards Program (“MVP”), is Modell’s Sporting Goods®
(“Modell’s”®) preferred customer club that offers you more value for your money.
“Modell’s”, “Modell’s Sporting Goods”, and “MVP” are federally registered service marks of
Modell’s II, Inc or its affiliates.
Offer is good only at participating Modell’s Sporting Goods® locations. No purchase
necessary to become a member. One card issued per application, per customer.
As a member you will earn 1 MVP® point for each one dollar ($1.00) spent at Modell’s
Sporting Goods® provided your MVP® card is scanned at the time of purchase, or by
purchase online at modells.com if you link your rewards membership number prior to the
time of purchase. The amount of points earned per dollar spent may be changed at Modell’s
Sporting Goods® sole discretion at any time without notice. Points are calculated on the
total purchase amount (excluding taxes) rounded to the nearest dollar. Points are not
awarded for purchases made with an award certificate, (“Award Certificate”), gift card,
store and/or other credit certificate, unless the amount of such purchase exceeds the total
of such certificate or certificate’s face amount used to make such purchase (in which event
only the excess amount shall earn MVP points). Award Certificates can not be used for
purchase at the modells.com website. Modell’s Sporting Goods® reserves the right to not
issue points in conjunction with special discounts (i.e. discount cards etc.). Points
previously awarded will be deducted for returns, checks returned for insufficient funds or
disputed credit card charges. In the event that at any time a member’s point balance goes
below an award level, Award Certificates previously issued for such award level will not be
reissued. No points are issued on exchanges. Failure to use MVP® card for returns, (or
linking your MVP® number for modells.com returns) may result in revocation of
Membership.
As you earn points, they will be added to your account and will be reflected on your
personal point statement printed on in-store Modell’s Sporting Goods® receipts
(modells.com website receipts will not reflect points but will be reflected on subsequent instore receipts following your next in-store purchase). Points will accrue as of your first
purchase after you join MVP.® No MVP® points shall accrue or be awarded for purchases
made prior to enrollment. Under certain circumstances, Award Certificates may not issue,
or accrued points may not be reflected on your personal point statement, until 72 hours
after your purchase. Award levels are subject to change without notice to member. After
you receive an Award Certificate your points will accrue toward the next award level. In
some instances this may not occur until 72 hours from the time of purchase. Award
Certificates can only be used on purchases subsequent to the issuance of the Award
Certificate.
If there is no activity in your MVP account for a period of 12 months all of the points in your
account will be forfeited and cancelled without notice. Award Certificates expire on the
expiration date listed on the face of the certificate, unless earlier terminated or voided
pursuant to these rules.
MVP® points will be credited to your account at time of purchase upon presentation of
your MVP® card, or on our website if you have previously linked your rewards
membership number to the website account, or up to 90 days after purchase provided you
notify Modell’s Sporting Goods® by calling us at 1-800-ASK-MODELLS. In such event you
may be required to provide a copy of the original receipt. In the event that MVP points are
issued in error, account balances will be automatically adjusted. In the event that an MVP®
Award Certificate is issued in error, or when points have not been officially earned, the
Award Certificate may be revoked at the discretion of Modell’s Sporting Goods®.
The Plan and benefits are offered at the sole discretion of Modell’s Sporting Goods®, which
reserves the right to alter or change any feature of the Plan, including without limitation
the accrual or redemption criteria, and to cancel, discontinue, terminate or temporarily
suspend the Plan, or any aspects thereof, at any time without notice. The interpretation and
application of the policies, procedures and awards of the Plan are in Modell’s Sporting
Goods® sole discretion and determination, which in each case shall be final and conclusive.
Modell’s Sporting Goods® reserves the right to deny or revoke Membership in the Plan
and/or to deny benefits in the Plan at any time for any reason including without limitation
any event of fraud, abuse of privileges or violation of the Plan rules and regulations. Any
denial or cancellation of Membership may affect future eligibility for MVP® Membership.
Modell’s Sporting Goods reserves the right at any time without notice to audit any MVP®
account(s) for compliance with the rules and regulations.
MVP® points are not transferable, have no cash value and are not redeemable for cash.
MVP® points are void if sold or exchanged for cash or other consideration. MVP® points
may not be combined with MVP® points of other members.
Award Certificates are valid only on or before the expiration date. The issuance of an
Award Certificate is final, except in the event it has been issued in error. Lost, stolen or
destroyed Award Certificates will not be reissued or replaced. Altered or copied Award
Certificates will not be accepted and may be cause for cancellation of Membership.
The MVP® Plan and its benefits are intended for customer use only. Items purchased under
this Plan may not be used for resale. Modell’s Sporting Goods® reserves the right in its sole
discretion to limit the amount of points (including but not limited to awarding zero points)
earned in connection with a bulk purchase. Members are responsible for any taxes, charges
or other liabilities related to or resulting from their participation in the Plan. The MVP®
card is not a credit card but intended as a method of tracking and accruing MVP® points.
Members must be 16 years of age or older and have a United States mailing address to be
eligible to participate.
The accuracy of account information, reporting lost or stolen cards is the sole responsibility
of the member. Changes must be reported to your local Modell’s Sporting Goods® store
location. Modell’s Sporting Goods® assumes no responsibility for errors caused by
incorrect member information or use of lost or stolen cards, or any inaccuracy of account
information. Features of this Plan are void where prohibited by law.
These rules and regulations set forth all of the terms and conditions of the Plan, and
Modell’s Sporting Goods® has no obligations with respect to the Plan beyond those
described herein.
