This thesis discuses about literature which has two kinds of form, written
and oral and the author tries to analyze on literature work. In written form, that is
a novel from Sandra Brown entitled Breath Of Scandal, the author focuses on
main character of Jade Sperry in that novel and also author uses descriptive
qualitative method.
The author is interested to analyze character of Jade Sperry because her
play of round character, it means that the character has many individual traits or
the character offers change and has capacity to trough feature, from this reason the
author make some analysis to understand more the character from Jade Sperry.
In this thesis the writter uses descriptive qualitative research to collect the
data, from the analysis the writer finds many special character that Graham Little
used. Graham Little (1966:93) uses the basic characteristics, social relationship,
and mental qualities of the character in this novel.
Based on the analysis, the writer can conclude that main character used in
Sandra Brown’s novel Breath Of Scandal. The central character has been
presented as a round character. It means that she touches many points of life. Her
multiplicity as a round character demands full analysis.
The round character is showed by developing character throughout the
story. His presentation is not the same from the beggining to the end of the story.
