Read what some high school students wrote about their elementary school days. Based on

Write a short paragraph about some of the things you remember about your elementary
school days. What did do regularly as a young child (include four activities)? What were
your favorite toys? Who were your best friend and your favorite teacher? What were they
like?

You are asked to speak to a group of elementary students at the local youth center.The
children want to know what you were like when you were their age. You decide to
practice your presentation with your teacher first. Tell your teacher what you liked to do,
how you used to behave, who you played with most of the time, what toys you had, and
what were your favorite places to go.
K. Cultura
Without realizing it, many children learn their numbers or the letters of the alphabet by
singing songs. Think of a song you sang as a child that taught you how to count. How
does it compare to the “number song” you learned about in this chapter? Are the subjects
of the songs the same?
