FEES AND CHARGES INFORMATION
Commonwealth and State Grants provide the majority of Funds contributing to over heads in the
College.
Tuition Fees allow the College to supplement their resources contributing to overheads but also
providing those extra facilities which provide the excellence required for sound education.
It is therefore imperative that College fees be paid promptly as fees represent an integral part the of
the Education capacity of the College.
It is expected that all fees be paid at the commencement of the year there will be one annual billing
for all applicable charges.

COLLEGE CAMPS
The College runs annual compulsory camps for students. Generally charges depend on the nature
and extent of the camps, are non-refundable and are included in the Year Subject Charge on the
first Statement of the year. For example, The Year 9 Rite Journey Camp which will run again this
year.
Other camps convened during the year such as Music will be charged at the time of the camp.
COLLEGE FACILITIES LEVY
The Levy is compulsory and is charged on a per family basis. The object of the Facilities Levy is to
provide funds for the future Capital Development in the College. Major Capital works are anticipated
to commence in 2014 and continued community financial support is required to enable us to fund
this development and to continue to refurbish the physical site to provide optimum learning
capacities for our students.
ICT LEVY
This levy allows for the provision of individual laptops for students and the necessary support,
software, licensing, hardware and infrastructure required.
INSTEP PROGRAMME
The Instep Student Placement Training Program for Year 11 students is offered at $750.00 per
student payable before the commencement of the course – no refunds are given on this fee as the
College also pays for this program in advance.
VET – CERTIFICATE IV BUSINESS CERTIFICATE
The College offers a Cert IV Business Certificate Programme for VET Students at a cost of $995.00
per student.
MUSIC SCHOOL INSTRUMENTAL LESSONS PROGRAMME
Students who choose to take instrumental lessons are expected to make the commitment for the
whole year. Current Fees are $960.00 per instrument. Notice of at least one full Term must be given
for withdrawing students. The College also offers an Instrumental Hire Program for students via the
Music Committee.
PARENT COUNCIL
A voluntary levy of $50.00 a year per family is charged on the College Statement.
REBATES
A reduction of 10% is allowed on the tuition fee only for each younger brother in attendance at the
same time. All other costs must be paid for in full.
APPLICATION FEE FOR ADMISSION
To commence the enrolment process a non-refundable Admission Fee of $115.00 is payable and is
designed to cover administration costs associated with enrolments. The fee should be paid upon
submission of the Application form for Admission. This fee does not guarantee an interview or a
place at the College.
REGISTRATION FEE
A non-refundable registration fee of $750.00 applies from 2014. This fee is payable to the College
on acceptance of the Application for Admission to the College.
GOODS AND SERVICES TAX & FEE REVIEW DATE
Education in general is GST free. Some charges are, however, taxable.
All fees are reviewed annually for the commencement of the new school year.
METHOD OF PAYMENT
Fees are due and payable 14 days from the date the account is issued. Payment may be made
using one of the following methods:



CASH or CHEQUE
CREDIT CARD (Mastercard, Visa or Amex) either by telephone, in person or periodic
by the College using your signed authority, forms provided with January Fee
Statement. Please note Amex credit cards will incur a 2% surcharge.
DIRECT DEBIT SCHEME (by signed authority, forms provided with January Fee
Statement)
EARLY PAYMENT DISCOUNTS
Fees paid for the full year in advance will receive a 3% discount on the Tuition component. This
payment must be made within two weeks of statement issue date.
FINANCIAL HARDSHIP
Any parent in genuine financial hardship may obtain from the Business Manager an “Application for
Fee Concession” form. The criteria need to be met for the assessment of these applications.
Parents MUST attend an interview with the Principal and will be informed in writing of the outcome
of the assessment. Parents are required to reapply for consideration at the end of each school year.
It should be noted that recipients of Concessions in the College will require authority to undertake
elective subjects such as Music and they will be required to fund these in full as they will not be
considered as concessional.
2014 will see the continuation of the discount scheme, allowing the holders of an eligible
Centrelink Pension / Health Care Card to a discount on the Tuition component of fees at the
College. Enquiries are invited during the College interview process for student placement in the first
instance and through Financial Services at the College for application confirmation and process.
FEES NOT PAID
The College Board reserves the right to refuse re-enrolment and take legal action for the recovery of
fees not paid. It is expected that fees will be paid within the academic year from January to
December. Those families that do not complete full payment within the academic year will be asked
to attend an interview with the Principal.
NOTICE OF STUDENT WITHDRAWAL
One full term’s notice of withdrawal must be given in writing to the Principal. In the event of such
notice not being given, one quarter of the total annual fee will be charged.
FEES IN ADVANCE
Parents/guardians are permitted to pay fees for the current year and the following year in advance at
rates prevailing in the current year plus 8%. Fees for the following year must be paid by the due date
for the current year’s first billing run (i.e. 14 days from the first billing run) or applicants will not
qualify for the Tuition fee discount.

Assistance for Isolated Children
A basic grant is available to eligible families. Enquiries 13 23 18
Youth Allowance
This is an age-related scheme paying benefits to secondary students 16 and over. Further
information may be obtained by contacting Centrelink.
Secondary Assistance Scheme
The Minister for Education has approved the following Educational Program for 2014.
Years 8-12 Assistance ($235)
Clothing Allowance ($115.00)
Eligibility for the scheme is dependent on parents or legal guardians holding an eligible Centrelink
Card.
Application forms are available from Financial Services at the College at the commencement of
Term One with applications closing on the 11th April 2014.
