eBooks for Apple and Android
TO INSTALL THE APP ON YOUR DEVICE you will need:
Your library card i.e. CLMJP********D
An email address
Apple® Devices (ie. iPad, iPhone)
Tap App Store icon
Tap magnifying glass
Type: Overdrive






Android® (ie. Nexus, Galaxy)
Tap Play Store icon
Tap magnifying glass
Type: Overdrive
Install 1st app that you find in the search. (White ‘O’ on a blue square)
Tap:
‘Sign Up’
On the next page, fill in the required fields
 Your email will be what you use to log in
Tap ‘SIGN UP’ at bottom of page
Check your email and open the message:
Sent by: OverDrive Accounts
Subject: Important: Please verify your Overdrive account
Tap on the link in this email to verify
(If link is NOT clickable copy and paste the link into your web browser)
Overdrive App

Tap ‘Add a library’
•
Type Manjimup
•
Tap ‘Search’ and select ‘Manjimup Public Library’
•
To access eBooks from OverDrive select ‘Western Australia Public Libraries’

Tap ‘Sign in’ button at top right
Type: Manjimup
Tap on the name that pops up: ‘Manjimup Public Library’
Type in your Barcode (must be in upper case) CLMJP********D
A PIN is not required
Tick ‘Remember login’ box.
Tap ‘Sign In’

Select ‘Account’ (head and shoulders icon)

Tap on ‘Settings’ (picture of gears)
Select default loan time of 21 Days
Tap ‘Save’

TO BORROW AND READ AN EBOOK:
•
Search for a title, author or keyword using the search bar
•
Tap on the book cover of an item you wish to borrow.
o If available now: Tap ‘Borrow’
▪ If on loan: Tap ‘Place a Hold’ (you will receive an
email when this item is available)

Tap ‘Download’
•
Tap menu icon in top left corner of app
•
Tap ‘Bookshelf’
•
From here you can read, return and/or delete your eBooks
•
Tap on a book cover to start reading!
•
When the book is open, you will notice you have no menu icons at the top or
bottom of the screen. To go back to your Bookshelf, tap once in the middle
of the screen to show the menu bar at the top of the screen. Tap the menu
icon (
or
) and select ‘Bookshelf’
TO RETURN A BOOK:
 Go to the ‘Bookshelf’ and hold your finger on the book
cover. The options to Return, Delete and Share will
appear.
 Tap ‘Return’
Note: Selecting ‘Delete’ removes the book from your device, it does not
return the book from your account.
If a title is available to renew, the option will become available within 3 days of its
due date (expiration)
