“Add on” Trips
Arise Africa is offering three different “Add On” trips this summer for individuals to take after
their mission trips. These trips are planned through our local Zambian travel agents and are
incredible. You would need to pay Arise Africa directly for the trip and this portion of your
payment cannot be tax deductible. The more individuals who sign up for the trip the cheaper
the cost, we would refund you accordingly if your trip price drops due to more people form
groups signing up to go with you.
Option 1: Victoria Falls – 2 Nights

Day 2 (Sunday):
 Morning Game Drive in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park
 Lunch for your own account
Game drive in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park
Enjoy a 3 hour game drive through
Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, and spot
some of Africa's finest wildlife, including
the endangered white rhino, as well as
Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra, Buffalo and
many more. The park is situated on the
banks of the Zambezi River so clients
also enjoy seeing hippos and crocodiles.
The birdlife is also abundant.

Day 3 (Monday):

Day 1:
 Depart from Lusaka at 10:55 a.m. - Arrive in Livingstone at 12:05PM on Arrival in
Livingstone you will be transferred to Botswana, to Tilodi Safari Lodge.

OPTION 3: Namibia - Sossusvlei and Swakopmund – 4 Nights
Day 1 (Saturday): Fly to Namibia and arrive in Sossusvlei Lodge, Sossusvlei.

Sossusvlei is where you will find the iconic
red sand dunes of the Namib. The clear blue
skies contrast with the giant red sand dunes
to make of the natural wonders of Africa
and a photographer’s heaven. Aside from
the attractions at Sossusvlei - Dune 45,
Hiddenvlei, Big Daddy and Deadvlei - other
attractions in the area include the Sesriem
Canyon and Namib-Naukluft National Park,
where the mountains of the Namib meet its
plains.

Day 3 (Monday): Swakopmund
Founded in 1892 as the main harbor for German South West Africa, Swakopmund is often
described as being more German than Germany. Now a seaside resort, Swakopmund is the
capital of the Skeleton Coast tourism area and has plenty to keep visitors happy. The quirky mix
of German and Namibian influences, colonial-era buildings and the cool sea breeze make it very
popular.
Overnight: Swakopmund Sands Hotel
The Swakopmund Sands is literary minutes’
walk away from the very popular Jetty and TUG
restaurants as well as other tourist attractions
and have total privacy once on the premises of
the Hotel. Each room is equipped with a flat
screen TV, safe, under floor heating, fridge, as
well as coffee facilities for your convenience. A
laundry service is available for same day
delivery.
Each bathroom has a hairdryer and shaving
facilities and all international power points can
be used. In the morning you will be able to

Day 4 (Tuesday): Swakopmund Sands Hotel, Swakopmund.
Living Desert Tours
The Living Desert Tour is a unique 4x4 adventure which specializes in bringing the desert to life
while sharing the awesome beauty of the Namib Desert with travelers from all over the world.
The coastal dune belt may seem barren and lifeless to many people, but in fact it is alive with a
fascinating variety of adapted animals, which are able to survive on the life-giving fog which
consistently rolls in from the cold Atlantic Ocean. Come see the Dancing White Lady Spider
(Carparachne aureoflava) cartwheel 44 turns per second down a dune to escape the enemy.
Admire the transparent Namib Dune Gecko (Pachydactylus rangei) with webbed feet that are
equivalent to snow shoes. Learn about the different beetles and insects and how they survive in
the dune desert. Follow in the tracks of a legless Lizard (Fitsimmon’s Burrowing Skink), observe
Sand Diving Lizards (Meroles Anchieta) dancing on the hot sand, Sidewinder Snakes
(Perinquey’s Adder), Desert Chameleons and many more fascinating creatures. Learn about the
geology, structure and formation of the desert, and admire the vast and beautiful landscapes
while enjoying a scenic dune drive combined with fun and adrenalin.

Mfuwe Lodge: Summer 2017
A unique lodge situated in the South Luangwa
National Park with 18 luxury en-suite thatched
chalets, each with a private decking area that
