KS2 PRODUCTION
he KS2 production cometh! Tut Tut!
Rehearsals are running at a pace
and the show is set to be a hit! I have
been blown away by the energy and
enthusiasm shown by the children and the
staff. A huge thank you to all the parents
who have been busy sewing and creating
costumes for the production. As it is my
first KS2 production I cannot wait to see
what you have put together…no pressure!
Can we just remind you about the ageold problem of parking for the night
performances? I know it is not easy to
find a parking space but please resist the
temptation to park across, or in, our longsuffering neighbour’s drives etc. Maybe
catch a cab or walk, that way you can
spend more at the bar!

PRO-DIRECT FOOTBALL
C
ould Y1 and Y2 parents make sure
their young footballers know how
to put on their kit if they bring it in?
At present, a lot
of the session is
being taken up by
helping children
into
football
boots, putting on
knee guards and
so on. They can
participate in normal PE kit and running
shoes if they want to.

very grateful to those parents who have

GOVERNORS
CONTRIBUTION
s a school community, we are blessed
to have such an active FOSPS and
parent body in general who do so much to
raise funds for our children’s wellbeing.
Sadly continued government cuts mean
we as school have come to rely more and
more heavily on your generous support. It
is for this reason I appeal to those families
who have yet to pay their £60 annual
contribution.
Your valued contribution need not be paid
all at once; it can be paid in instalments;
over the year if needs be. It is easy to
think “it’s only £60” but currently we
are waiting on over £4000 in unpaid
contributions. That money could be used
WELCOME SERVICE
ast week Father Will and the Bishop
of Edmonton conducted a Welcome
Service. It was a wonderful event and truly
made me very proud to be officially part
of the St Paul’s C of E Primary School
family. The choir sung magnificently,
supported by our talented orchestra.
There were various visitors in attendance,
the Chair of Governors and the Head
teacher from St Stephen’s Primary (my
old school) and our LDBS link advisor,
Stephen Fisher. They all commented on
how outstanding the children’s behaviour
was and how impressed they were with
St Pauls, I think they were a little jealous!

SCHOOL MEALS

Please be advised that this is a guide only and from time
to time, it will change. For example, we had a Chinese
meal on Thursday. However, rest assured, whatever
is served will be of the highest nutritional value and
taste good too! Many thanks to Nicki and her team, who
work extremely hard to provide our school dinners.
CHINESE NEW YEAR
This week we have been celebrating Chinese New Year,
which falls on Saturday 28th January 2017. The children
have been busy making lanterns, writing in Chinese and
creating origami roosters as it is the year of the rooster.
For lunch on Thursday, the children had the choice to
eat Sweet and Sour Chicken and Vegetable Chow Mein.
We also ended the week with some Prawn Crackers.
Gung Hey Fat Choy!
