Firefly Credit Union Supports Community with April Blood Drive
BURNSVILLE – Firefly Credit Union partnered with Memorial Blood Centers (MBC) to host its semi-annual blood
drive Tuesday, April 25, 2017.
According to Memorial Blood Centers, if you began donating blood at age 16 and consistently made donations
approximately every three months until you reach age 76, you will donate 30 gallons of blood over a lifetime.
Donors taking part in Firefly’s latest drive, including many consistent donators, helped to collect 23 units of
blood, which has the potential to save up to 69 lives in the community.
“Firefly employees continually help to make a different in the community they work in,” said Firefly Credit Union
President/CEO Bill Raker. “The dedication they have to supporting others, though blood drives and other
volunteerism, is just one of the things that makes Firefly such a unique, inviting organization to be a part of.”
