During pre-activity, students can write a
letter to be picked up at Shawnee Town’s
Post Office on the day of their visit.
During post-activity, students can tell,
write or draw about their experience at
Shawnee Town or do a thank you letter
to Shawnee Town. Students may also
work together in a group to create a
banner to carry in their parade. The
students decide upon the words and their
placement for the banner.
D. Fluency – Read grade-level
instructional text with fluency, accuracy
and expression. Students may recite a
poem that includes grade level
appropriate words.
