CBS has given full season orders to all four of its new dramas, including the #1 and #2 new series of the
season, NCIS: NEW ORLEANS (top left), SCORPION (top right) and Sunday's #1 scripted broadcast, MADAM

EYE ON: AFFILATE AND SUBSCRIPTION FEES
On August 11, CBS Corporation and Tribune Broadcasting announced a comprehensive, long-term
agreement that renews their existing affiliation agreements and gives the Eye a new home in the
Indianapolis market on Tribune’s WTTV. With the CBS affiliation, WTTV becomes the new home of the
NFL’s Indianapolis Colts beginning in 2015. The station will also broadcast other live sports, including NCAA football and basketball games. The agreement also includes early renewals for four Tribune Media-owned CBS affiliates: WREG-TV in Memphis,
TN; WHNT-TV in Huntsville, AL; KFSM-TV in Ft. Smith, AR, as well as a renewal for WTVR-TV in Richmond, VA. In addition,
CBS has renewed its affiliation agreement with Dreamcatcher Broadcasting’s WTKR in Norfolk, VA, to which Tribune

On August 25, CBS Corporation and Gray Television announced a comprehensive, long-term agreement that renews all 26 of
Gray’s existing station affiliation agreements which includes 22 markets nationwide. The agreement includes renewals for

On August 28, CBS announced a comprehensive deal with LIN Media to renew existing station affiliation agreements for 12 LIN
stations in ten markets nationwide (a total of more than 4 million households). The agreement includes renewals for KRQE
Albuquerque, NM; KBIM-TV Roswell, NM; KREZ-TV Durango, CO; WIAT Birmingham, AL; WIVB-TV Buffalo, NY; WANE Fort
Wayne, IN; WLFI-TV Lafayette, IN; KIMT Mason City, IA; KOIN Portland, OR; WPRI Providence, RI; WTHI-TV Terre Haute, IN;
and WKBN-TV Youngstown, OH. Nearly all of LIN’s CBS stations rank #1 in their markets.
On Sept. 15, CBS Corporation and Media General, Inc. announced a comprehensive deal that renews all of Media General’s
existing station affiliation agreements covering 12 markets nationwide. The agreement includes renewals for the following Media
General affiliates: WRBL Columbus, GA; WBTW Florence, SC; WNCT Greenville, NC; WHLT Hattiesburg, MS; WJTV Jackson,
MS; WJHL-TV Johnson City, TN; KLFY Lafayette, LA; WLNS-TV Lansing, MI; WKRG-TV Mobile, AL; KELO Sioux Falls, SD

On Sept. 30, CBS signed a renewal agreement for Weigel Broadcasting’s Milwaukee affiliate, WDJT.

On Monday, Sept 1, as part of its strategy to make information about its new
shows easy to find amid the increasingly
complex programming environment, CBS
aired a primetime broadcast preview for THURSDAY
NIGHT FOOTBALL and its five new fall series. The
broadcast, hosted by CBS Sports’ and Lead NFL PlayBy-Play Announcer Jim Nantz, was available through
Sept. 21 On Demand on CBS.com, the CBS App and
select CBS Audience Network partner sites. It was
also available On Demand on TV to customers of
AT&T U-verse TV, Cablevision’s Optimum TV,
Charter Communications, Comcast’s Xfinity TV, Cox
Communications, DIRECTV, Time Warner Cable and
Verizon FiOS TV, and others. CBS television stations
had the opportunity to present the special in encore
showings on their primary and digital channels, as well

return for broadcast in summer 2015. Both from Steven Spielberg’s
Amblin Television, UNDER THE DOME returns for its
third season, and EXTANT for its sophomore season.
The second season of UNDER THE DOME was the
summer’s top scripted series, with 11 million viewers,
2.7/8 in A18-49 and 3.6/10 in A25-54. EXTANT, starring
Academy Award winner Halle Berry, won its time period
with 8.64 million viewers, 1.7/6 in A18-49 and 2.3/07 in
A25-54. In addition to their broadcast on the Network,
UNDER THE DOME and EXTANT had additional viewing on Amazon’s Prime Instant Video, which provided

James Corden, the multi-talented and

the new host of THE LATE LATE SHOW
debuting Monday, March 9, 2015.
Corden comes to American late night
television with a growing list of awardwinning and critically acclaimed credits as performer,
host, writer and producer. THE LATE LATE SHOW with
JAMES CORDEN will be produced by CBS. Multitalented producer, director and writer Ben Winston will

reality hit BIG BROTHER, hosted by
Julie Chen, for its 17th and 18th editions for broadcast in summer 2015
and 2016. Since premiering on CBS in the summer of
2000, BIG BROTHER has consistently finished among
the summer’s top-rated series in young adult demographics. BIG BROTHER was also the #1 social

Prosiebensat.1 Group (Germany), Channel 5 (UK),
RAI (Italy), Shaw (Canada), Network Ten (Australia),
plus Fox International Channels (Asia), and Prime
TV (New Zealand) …. CSI: CYBER licensees include
Channel 5 (UK), Media Group RTL (Germany), Bell
(Canada), Network Ten (Australia), AXN (Latin

new spinoffs will be licensed in more than 200 international markets.

In September, TVGN (TV Guide
Network), the entertainment channel
owned by CBS Corporation and
Lionsgate that is seen in more than 80
million homes and is delivering its highest primetime
audiences in more than five years, announced that it will
rebrand as POP, a multi-platform destination dedicated
to celebrating the fun of being a fan. Launching in early

On Oct. 21, the
CBS Television
Stations group and
Weigel Broadcasting announced plans to launch
DECADES, a new national entertainment programming
service for distribution across local television stations’
digital subchannels – broadcast channels that utilize a
local station’s available spectrum to provide a companion to that station’s primary channel. In addition to being
available as an over-the-air broadcast channel,
DECADES will appear on numerous local cable systems
and other multichannel video programming distribution
services along with the stations’ primary channels. As
the ultimate TV time machine, DECADES will differentiate itself from other subchannel programming services
by varying the classic series and movies that appear on

In a move that reinforces CBS RADIO’s
strategy to concentrate on
large market properties, CBS announced on Oct. 2 that
it had signed a definitive agreement with Beasley
Broadcast Group, Inc. to swap 13 radio stations in
Tampa and Charlotte, as well as one AM station in
Philadelphia, for two FM stations in Philadelphia and
three stations in Miami. As a result of the swap, CBS
RADIO will for the first time have a presence in Miami
(the nation’s 11th-largest radio market), where CBS
already owns two television stations: WFOR-TV

On Sept. 2, CBS RADIO and
Townsquare Media launched the
Michigan News Network, which
will provide nearly 20 affiliated stations across the state with news, sports and other local
content. The programming will be produced by CBS
RADIO stations WWJ Newsradio 950 (WWJ-AM) and
97.1 The Ticket (WXYT-FM), with Townsquare Media
licensing the content and serving as the exclusive syndication partner and manager of affiliate relationships.

Based on Nielsen Audio ratings
for August, WCBS-FM 101.1 New
York (greatest hits from the ‘70s and
‘80s) is #1 with A25-54 for the first
time in nearly 20 years. Additionally, the station posted
another #1 finish with Persons 6+, and earned its fourth
top performance with Persons 12+ over the past five
months. Scott Shannon earned the best ratings for any
FM station in morning drive among Persons 6+ and 12+;
Dan Taylor at midday and Broadway Bill Lee in afternoons were the market’s top-rated programs with listeners 6+ and 12+ in their respective time periods; Joe
Causi dominated the 7:00 PM-12:00 Midnight time period
in key demographics.

On Sept. 11, CBS RADIO stations won
five NAB Marconi Awards, including the most
prestigious honor, “Legendary Station of the
Year,” which went to WFAN-AM/FM New
York for the first time in its 27-year history as
the nation’s first all-sports station. WBZ-FM
Boston won a Marconi for “Sports Station of
the Year” (four of the five nominees in this
category were CBS RADIO stations KDKA-FM
Pittsburgh, WIP-FM Philadelphia and WXYT-FM Detroit).
Network, where he was Executive Vice President, National
Advertising Sales and led sales for the largest online video
syndication platform in the U.S., reaching an audience of
nearly 50 million unique viewers and generating video
streams in excess of 500 million.
In addition to being recognized as “Rock Station of the
Year,” KROQ-FM Los Angeles on air duo Kevin and Bean
were cited for Major Market Personality of the Year, and ,
WOGL-FM Philadelphia was awarded “Oldies Station of
the Year.”

CBS RADIO’s All News 99.1 WNEW (Washington,
D.C.) has been named the Washington Wizards’ flagship
radio broadcaster beginning with the 2014-15 season. ...
CBS RADIO and the Texas Rangers have entered into a
multi-year agreement for the team’s radio play-by-play
broadcasts to air exclusively on Dallas-Fort Worth’s 105.3
The FAN beginning with the 2015 season.

On August 25, CBS Sports Network premiered its
television simulcast of THE DOUG GOTTLIEB SHOW,
CBS Sports Radio’s popular afternoon show. The show
airs live Monday-Friday (3:00-6:00 PM, ET) from the CBS
Sports Radio studios in New York City.
People... CBS RADIO has expanded its senior leadership team in charge of sports programming with the promotion of Mike Thomas to Vice President, Sports
Programming. He joins Mark Chernoff in overseeing
CBS RADIO’s nearly 30 sports formatted stations, as well
as CBS Sports Radio, with more than 300 affiliates
nationwide. He continues to serve as CBS RADIO’s head
of programming in Boston while also guiding the on-air
presentation and strategic planning for 98.5 The Sports

entered into a multi-year agreement with
Amazon for the sale of digital and print
books in the U.S. The agreement
assures that S&S books will be
continuously available for sale at this major retailer, and

On August 12, CBS Films announced the stage
musical “13” will be adapted for the big screen.
Laurence Mark (LAST VEGAS) is producing the adaptation which is being written by Bert V. Royal (EASY A).
Bob Boyett, who produced “13” onstage, is also producing. Jason Robert Brown (THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY), who wrote the music and lyrics for “13”
will tackle the same duties in the film. The play centers
on a 13-year old boy who moves from New York City,
where he is on top of the social pyramid, to small-town
Indiana, where he concocts a plan to become popular,
which promptly backfires and he’s forced to do some
growing up.
