NRO 50-100 series
Aqua-etiam water purification solutions give you access to the world of water purification by
means of a sophisticated and elegant filtration method involving only two stages.
Our innovative technology uses a patented membrane system that provides fresh water
filtration at a level between nano-filtration and reverse osmosis. Its simplicity ensures minimal
maintenance requirements, and a minimal footprint, making it eminently suitable for domestic
and small business use.
Our filtration units will remove unwanted substances from the local fresh water supply, to
provide clean drinking water with an excellent taste. Depending on the model selected
50 to 150 litres per hour can be produced.

The ultimate industrial water cleaning system
1500 series
For larger applications and installations Aqua-etiam has the NRO 1500 series available. The 1500
series is based on the same two stage filtration method as the 50-150 series. Each 1500 series unit
produces 1,500 litres per hour, and due to its modular design the combination of several 1500 units
makes it possible to increase the capacity to whatever volume required. These systems can no longer
be fitted under the kitchen sink as the 50 series, but are executed with a sturdy stand-alone frame for
indoor installations, or built into a dedicated container unit for exposed locations.
Pre-filtration
Pre-filtration is the first phase of the purification process, and is an integral part of every NRO unit.
Here particles and contaminants up to 5 microns are removed from the feed water, to ensure the
longevity and efficiency of the membrane filters in the unit. Depending on local conditions the prefiltration section is adapted or extended to cope with even the most unfavourable fresh water supply
conditions.
Purification
Nano Reverse Osmosis (NRO) enables the removal of unwanted substances while retaining the
essential minerals which are so important in good drinking water. Based on the molecular weight of
minerals and the constant monitoring of the conductivity of the permeated water, the system, once
adjusted after installation, automatically regulates the pressures to reach the optimum quality for the
application, with a salt content of less than 6 ppt.
Maintenance
Maintenance plays an important role in the enduring efficiency and cost of ownership of any piece of
technical equipment. The Aqua-etiam NRO units are no different, but a careful selection of filtration
components and membrane specifications reduce the maintenance requirements to an absolute
minimum. Pre-filter cartridge replacement is simple and straight forward, and can be carried out by
the owner or domestic staff. The replacement of the membrane filter must be carried out by your
local Aqua-etiam partner, with typical replacement intervals of between 18 and 24 months*).
A built-in electronic control system is designed to keep track of the maintenance requirements of the
unit and will alert you when a filter replacement is due. If the filter is not replaced in time, the water
quality suffers, and the electronic control system will switch of the unit in time to protect both you
and your family but also the machine itself.
