Where YA Meet
Young Adults Meeting and Coming Together,
Fighting Cancer, and Embracing Survivorship!
Where Who Meets?
Where Young Adults Meet! This is a six month long series for
young adults in their 20’s and 30’s who are currently in treatment
for cancer or up to one year post-treatment. Through guest
speakers and excursions, group participants will connect,
build support and learn coping strategies to more effectively
navigate their cancer experience as well as foster social
connections and a community of support. Group sessions will
address topics that are particularly relevant to young adults
living with cancer including the unique identity as a young adult
with cancer; managing a healthy lifestyle through nutrition
and exercise; the impact of a cancer diagnosis on intimacy,
dating and sexuality; and managing cancer in the workplace.
Mission Of UCF
We change lives by creating a community of support for young
adults, and their loved ones, as they fight cancer and
embrace survivorship.
CANCER CHANGES LIVES...SO DO WE!
