NHO is delighted to announce that Royal
Opera House Director of Opera Oliver
Mears will return to NHO to direct this
production, originally created for his
debut at Northern Ireland Opera in 2011.
British soprano Giselle Allen will perform
the title role of Tosca. ‘It’s hard to praise

Dining and Hospitality
at Nevill Holt Opera
Performances at NHO feature a long dining interval, of
between 60 to 90 minutes. During the interval, audiences
are free to enjoy the landscaped gardens, with fabulous
dining experiences on offer from our partner Stones Events.
Private Dining:
Buffet Dining:
For a truly exceptional experience you can dine in
the exclusive Font House with a party of up to 14,
or book one of our private dining pavilions.
Our popular picnic buffet tables will also be on
offer, offering the best locally sourced produce for
a delicious and less formal interval picnic option.
Bring your own:
NHO audiences are welcome to bring their own
picnic and rugs and picnic al fresco on the
Cedar Lawn.

children and 200 adults in the local area through our participatory
Education & Community programme.

Gardens & Sculpture
With breath-taking panoramic views
over three counties, the Nevill Holt estate dates
back to the 13th Century. The Hall is set in
historic grounds, landscaped by Chelsea Gold
Medal winner Rupert Golby. The gardens are
home to an outstanding collection of modern
British sculpture, featuring works by Antony
Gormley, Allen Jones, Marc Quinn, Nic Fiddian
Green, Conrad Shawcross and Sean Henry,
among others.

NEW THEATRE
FOR NEVILL
HOLT OPERA
Nevill Holt Opera is excited to
announce the building of a brand
new 400 seat theatre on the
stunning Nevill Holt estate.
Situated in our Grade II* listed Stable
Block courtyard and opening for the
2018 Festival, this landmark project is
designed by Stirling Prize winning
architects Witherford Watson Mann,
working with Sound Space Vision.

Our 2017 Festival will continue as usual,
in a Temporary Theatre on the estate.
From 2018, our new Theatre will provide
an outstanding, beautiful and permanent
home for NHO and breathe new life into
this historic building. We will create the
country’s most unique and intimate Opera
Theatre, in a setting of outstanding beauty.
The exterior of the exisiting stable

temporary theatre, will be retained.
