Sloppy Joes and Shredded Chicken will be provided. Bring a dish to share or a dessert to divide. At 6:30 the choir will be performing a special Maundy Thursday Cantata. The cantata is entitled: ‘The Weeping Tree’. It tells the story of the crucifixion through the eyes of the tree cut down to become the cross. It is a very moving and symbolic piece about one of the darkest days in human history. The service will also have communion. Even this dark day was the beginning of new life in the blood of Jesus. Please remember that many churches do not have services on Maundy Thursday. This would be a great day to invite others.
