Human Rights, to move under sub-rule (1) of rule 194 of the Rules of Procedure
and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, that the time for presentation of
report of the Functional Committee on the Bill to provide for protection of rights
of transgender persons and their welfare and for matters connected therewith
and incidental thereto [The Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Bill,
2016], introduced by Senator Zaheer-ud-Din Babar Awan, on 9th January, 2017,
may be extended for a period of sixty working days with effect from 10th March,
2017.

SENATOR OSMAN SAIFULLAH KHAN, Chairman, Standing Committee
on Science and Technology, to move under sub-rule (1) of rule 194 of the Rules
of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, that the time for
presentation of report of the Standing Committee on the Bill to upgrade the
status of COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad into
COMSATS University [The COMSATS University Islamabad Bill, 2017], may be
extended for a period of ten working days with effect from 10th March, 2017.

Standing Committee on Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony, to move under
sub-rule (1) of rule 194 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the
Senate, 2012, that the time for presentation of report of the Committees on the
Bill to curb inherited blood disorders and birth defects [The Premarital Blood
Screening (Family Laws Amendment) Bill, 2016], referred by the House on
25th July, 2016, for joint consideration and report by the Standing Committees on
Law and Justice and Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony, may be extended
for a further period of thirty working days with effect from 10th March, 2017.

advertisement whereby the outsourcing of the Airports of the country has been
advertised, may be extended for a period of thirty working days with effect from
15th March, 2017.

SENATOR ILYAS AHMAD BILOUR to draw attention of the Minister for
Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization towards the
decision of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) to allow the export of
flour / wheat products in dollars in response to which the Flour Mills owners
purchased wheat from the Government of Punjab which retained Rs. 650 per ton
as security which was to be released on production of export documents and
after release of that amount the State Bank of Pakistan was to pay $70 per ton
to those exporters but the Government of Punjab is not releasing the said
amount of security on the pretext that the wheat was exported after purchasing
the dollars from the local market.

reported by the Standing Committee, be taken into consideration, at once.

the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, as the
Committee could not present its report within the prescribed period.

further to amend the Pakistan Penal Code, 1860 [The Pakistan Penal Code

withdrawn from the Committee under rule 166(3) of the Rules of Procedure and

in the Senate, 2012, as the Committee could not present its report within the
prescribed period.

and Combat Trafficking in persons, especially Women and Children [The
Trafficking in Persons Bill, 2016], as introduced in the Senate and referred to the

rule 166(3) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate,
2012, as the Committee could not present its report within the prescribed
period.

the smuggling of migrants by land, sea and air [The Smuggling of Migrants Bill,
2016], as introduced in the Senate and referred to the Committee on

Committee could not present its report within the prescribed period.
