artist. She told Fox31’s ‘Everyday’ program: “I
know Miley very well. Miley has been one of
my best friends growing up and so I’m happy for her. She’s doing what she wants to do
and this is her time to break out and figure
out, you know, what she wants to do in
her career and her image and everything.”
While clean-cut Demi didn’t endorse her
pal’s choices - such as appearing naked
in her new music video and twerking
up against Robin Thicke at the VMAs
this summer - the pop star says she
respects Miley for not caring what
people think. She said: “I’m happy
seeing her happy because I love her
so much. And, you know, she
doesn’t care what people think, nor
should she.” The 21-year old singer who checked into rehab for depression, self-harm and bulimia in 2010 previously admitted she has repeatedly warned Miley to cut back on
her partying and take it easy.

he Irish singer appeared on ‘The Late Late Show’ on RT to address her
ongoing feud with Miley Cyrus, but instead let rip at the music mogul
and his flagship show ‘The X Factor’, blaming him for the death of
rock ‘n’ roll and the exploitation of young female artists’ sexuality. The war
of words began earlier this week when Sinead warned Miley in an open letter about the dangers of the music industry and projecting an overly-sexual image, and the 20-year-old singer responded by lashing out on Twitter,
mocking bipolar disease sufferer Sinead for her mental health issues.
Sinead said on the Irish chat show: “I don’t feel sorry for me or for anybody
else in the matter, that’s not what it’s about. The broader issue, I feel sorry
for the murder of music. I feel sorry for the murder of rock ‘n’ roll which has
happened because of the industry. Because of Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh
and the lot of them [talent show judges] have murdered music. “They’re
murderers of music! I stand and say it on behalf of every musician in the
world and they will all agree with it. I don’t give a s**t if I hurt them ... All
the sexualisation of young people, all the worship of bling and money and
diamonds and ‘Pop Idol’ stuff, Simon Cowell - it all amounts to the murder
of music.”

he actor was honored to have made the top ten in a recent Empire
Online poll of the 100 Sexiest Movie Stars, and especially to have
placed ahead of resident Hollywood heartthrobs Hugh Jackman, who
ranked ninth, and Bradley Cooper, who came tenth. According to E! News,
he laughed: “They’re wonderful guys and very handsome, so thank you for
packaging me together with them.” Michael was beaten by British star
Benedict Cumberbatch, who came first, followed by Tom Hiddleston and
Henry Cavill. Ryan Gosling took fourth place, with Robert Downey Jr in fifth,
Chris Hemsworth in sixth, and Robert Pattinson in seventh. The rugged star
also admitted he was nervous about shooting sex scenes with Spanish
bombshell Penelope Cruz in Ridley Scott’s new thriller, ‘The Counselor’,
since her husband Javier Bardem co-stars in the film. Michael, 36, said: “Sex
scenes are always awkward, to be honest, whatever anyone thinks of them
outside of the film game. It’s just awkward really, so you just want to make
sure that the person you’re acting with is comfortable and doesn’t feel like
you’re taking advantage in anyway.

actress - who plays fearless competitor Katniss Everdeen in the fantasy franchise - because they are
such good friends in real life. Asked
if it’s strange to have to seduce his
pal Jennifer, he told Glamour magazine: “It is. There are times when
we’ve had to cut because we can’t
get through a take without laughing.” The 20-year-old actor fell for his
own girlfriend, actress Claudia
Traisac, while filming upcoming
thriller ‘Paradise Lost’ and he thinks
it’s natural to develop feelings for
your co-stars. He said: “As far as I’m
concerned, you’re both actors, you
understand each other’s lifestyle, so
it’s a very natural thing to have happen.” Josh is focusing on his current
romance and doesn’t dwell on his
ex-girlfriends - mostly because he
can’t remember much about their
dates. Quizzed about his best date
ever, he joked: “The girls I’ve dated
hate me a little because I can’t
remember anything about first
dates or when we kissed. I have the
worst memory in the world!”

T
he ‘Harry Potter’ star bashfully admitted he has a “track record”
of falling for more mature women when quizzed about his
dating history on TV show ‘Watch What Happens Live’. When a
caller rang up to ask what his ‘type’ of girl is, Daniel appeared
tongue-tied, so host Andy Cohen playfully reminded him about his
previous admission he lost his virginity aged 16 to an older lady.
The blushing actor replied: “It would be hard for me to deny ... I
have a track record with that.” Daniel is currently dating actress Erin
Darke, who is five years his senior, after meeting on the set of ‘Kill
Your Darlings’. However, he refused to divulge anything about their
relationship, specifying only that he is attracted to “intelligent”
girls. The in-demand actor also stopped by ‘The Ellen DeGeneres
Show’, where he opened up about his crush on 28-year-old singer
Katy Perry. Recalling a mortifying moment where he felt too shy
to approach the brunette beauty, Daniel joked: “I thought I
should go up and say hi and then I thought about what if
she thinks you’re some teenage fan boy so I couldn’t.
I said, ‘I’m not going to try, it would be embarrassing.’
he Academy Award-winning
actress will take on the lead in
CBS drama ‘Extant’, playing an
astronaut who returns to Earth after
a year-long solo mission. The protagonist struggles to reconnect with
her husband and son, while also
coming to terms with her experiences in space. The career-changing
role will be the ‘Cloud Atlas’ actress’
first regular T V role since ‘Knots
Landing’ in 1991, and is undoubtedly a massive coup for the show.
Halle said in a statement: “For
five months a year I’ll get to
live with and play this
incredibly intelligent and
vulnerable woman, and for
the remainder of the year
I’ll continue to look for
other roles that move
me as deeply as this
one.” The CBS network has also
embarked upon a
two-year production deal with Halle
- who is expecting
her first child with her
fiance Olivier Martinez and her producing partner Elaine GoldsmithThomas. Spielberg commented: “There’s only one
Halle Berry and we are incredibly honored that she has chosen
‘Extant’ to expand her illustrious
career. “As she does with everything she touches, she will bring
a deep authenticity to her
role and I very much look
forward to working with
her.” ‘Extant’ is set to air
in the summer of 2014.
