ROLE FUNCTION AND PURPOSE
The UX Business Analyst works closely with the business and technical teams and is a major
contributor to the requirements specification deliverable, including documenting business and
functional requirements to ensure a compelling user experience. The incumbent understands the need
to comprehend business concepts and ensures these concepts are integrated into the technical
solution. The analyst facilitates design and concept gathering and assists in the creation of prototypes
through wireframes mock-ups, story boards and workflow diagrams. The analyst understands
development processes such as Agile Methodology and SDLC. Also the analyst should be experienced
with problem-solving and conflict resolution to help identify, communicate and resolve issues.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Define audience needs and translate those into concepts for compelling interactions
and user experience;

Create prototype user experience and interaction specifications through wireframe
mock-ups, user stories, and workflow diagrams;

Facilitate business requirements gathering and prototype review sessions with various
stakeholders;

Collaborate with the product design engineer on user interface and user experience
needs;

Create detailed Business Requirement Document (BRD) and translate requirements
into functional specifications;

Act as a product subject matter expert and work with the development team to
document functional requirements;

Assist product management team with feasibility analysis, project scoping, and
deliverables prioritization;

Participate in Integration, User Acceptance, and Functionality Testing; and

Work with the product owner to conduct internal product training sessions and/or
provide product summaries and reference materials to client facing departments.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or IT;

5+ year’ experience in the financial or payments industry highly desirable;

5+ years’ experience working as a Business, Functional, and/or Data Analyst; with a
focus on UX

5+ years’ experience in Word, Access, Excel(Advanced), Visio, and MS Project;

Customer interfacing experience including project oversight and customer presentation
is desirable

Previous experience working in an Agile environment is desirable
ABILITIES AND ATTRIBUTES

Proven ability to conduct and/or lead multiple projects with minimal oversight;

Strong interviewing and listening skills to elicit detailed requirements;

Proven analytical skills in defining business needs into product requirements;

Demonstrable excellent written and verbal communication skills with business and
technical stakeholders as well as internal and external users;

Strong attention to detail and accuracy;

Ability to work independently and to prioritize work with a focus on deadlines and
