new Life Explored material and take part in a session. Light dinner will start and
5.30pm. The main session starts at 6pm

All-Age Service and Emma, Colin and Hannah have invited everyone downstairs
after Service for a light lunch.

The Missionary offering this month is for
Derek & Heidi Malcolm who are working
on behalf of believers in Turkey and
amongst Turkish immigrants in Glasgow.
18 April was 10th anniversary of 3 Christian
workers in Malatya’s martyrdom. A
memorial service was held and the widow
of one of the foreign workers killed shared
how the Lord has enabled her to stay on in
Turkey with her children. Pray for Susanne
and the only church there in a city of
500,000. After a recent election the
President was given sweeping new powers
which could make the country more
divided and this has led to heightened
anxiety among the believers. More foreign
Christian workers are having their
residence permits revoked or not
renewed. One was arrested last October
and is still in prison with no sign of a trial.
More encouragingly, 1000 believers met
for ‘Resurrection Day’ celebration on
Easter Saturday and more people all over
Turkey are enquiring about the Christian
faith. Derek’s publishing work continues
with 8 new commentaries published in
2016. He plans to visit Istanbul in June &
asks us to pray for that visit.
