Habakkuk 2:2 (KJV)
In the wonderful, matchless name of Jesus Christ our Lord, keeping
with this season which celebrates love and relationship, I thank God
for you all as we continue on in fellowship of purpose, which we
have in common as believers, and in fellowship of Spirit along the
journey. Today as always, we press towards the goal, the prize of the
upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Giving honor to God, to Pastor
Dugger and First Lady for another opportunity to freely give my
commentary on a topic near and dear to my heart. Agape, unconditional love and Hesed covenants love, for we all have been blessed
to participate in another year of the Lord’s glorious grace, mercy and
loving kindness towards his people. Hesed kind of love is a term used to describe God’s love for mankind and
his special relationship with the children of Israel. Hesed kind of love is a love that’s loyal, graceful, and merciful. It’s the kind that is described in Exodus 34:6-7(NKJV), where the Lord describes himself, his own attribute
of kindness, faithfulness and steadfastness. A love that envelopes his very being in Micah 6:8 is a description of
the kind of love that was mandated in the words of Jesus Christ in John 13:34-35, ―a new commandment I give
to you that you love another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you
are My disciples, if you have love for one another.‖ 1 John 2:5-6, ―but whoever keeps his word, truly the love of
God is perfected in Him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself
also to walk just as He walked.‖ Our Lord and Savior Jesus not only embodied the fathers (Hesed) love by way
of the Cross, but this (Hesed) love was applied from the beginning and will sanctify us in the presence until we
are with him in eternity.

Thank God for salvation and the new testament rendering agape love which leads us beyond the flesh experience and into the blessed Hesed covenant love that
brings understanding of selflessness and unconditional
giving to our fellow man. In all, I would like to leave you
with this one thought; consideration, faithful, and committed love is an act of your will. It is distinguished by its
high moral content (Holy Spirit driven) and strong in its
God like nature. This love goes beyond sentiment and
feeling, it presses its way to the very core of Gods redeeming nature and makes room for human error.
This kind of love pushes pass the boundaries of righteousness and indignation. It relinquishes justice and
mercy even when we don’t have all the facts. At the core
of this love, we can trust God, the Righteous Judge, in
every case of wrongdoing that comes before us. We can
forgive others in their offenses as the Father has forgiven
us. We love as an action of will, not as a second thought
born out of arrogance. This Beloved, are words that I
will try to live by and struggle daily to perfect knowing
that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens
me.
Much love your sister and servant in Christ Jesus,

The origins of the modern Valentine’s Day are
mostly legend. Legend has it St. Valentine was a priest
who died defending marriage under a Roman emperor
opposed to the practice. According to legend, Valentine
himself fell in love during his time of imprisonment.
The daughter of the prison guard met Valentine and fell
head over heels in love. As the story goes, their romance
was the prototypical saga of steadfast love, broken only
by the tragic death of Valentine. He wrote a note to her,

allegedly penned on February 14th, the day before he was
beheaded. He signed the note, ―Love from your Valentine.‖ Henceforth, we have the first Valentine’s Day
card.
Although the story of Valentine’s Day is shrouded in mystery, buried in tradition, and (thanks to commercialism) stripped of its significance, we can bring
some of the truth back. The truth is, love can’t be
squelched, outlawed, or stamped out. That is true love.
But true love is deeper still. It goes beyond our love for
God, but his love for us. John 3:16 defines love: ―For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that
whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.‖
This Valentine’s day, do something different.
Sure, talk about love, but talk about true love—the love
that God had for us. The love that sent Jesus to a
cross. Talk about our love for Him—the kind of love that
goes beyond mere comfortable Christian existence. The
kind of love that is willing to take risks, to sacrifice everything, and even to give our lives for Him who loved us.
So commemorate Valentine's Day by being other
-centered and honoring others in the spirit of Christian
love. Use the day as an opportunity to call, write or email someone you haven't heard from for a while. Honor Christ by serving him in the spirit of St. Valentine.

2 Quick Fixes to Help You Avoid Ruining Your Retirement
Retirement: You’re either neck deep in it or you’re
thinking about it. What my life will be like when that
day arrives. But in an increasingly expensive world,
how do you avoid running out of money?
By making good decisions, of course. Whether you’re
retired, or will be retiring soon, how can you be certain
that you’re not overlooking something today that’s going to cost you big-time somewhere down the line?
It’s hard to let them ―go.‖ But for many clients, what’s

1. Underestimating the risk in your portfolio.
If you haven’t retired, promise yourself that in the next
two weeks you’ll get the allocation of your portfolio
tested. You’ve worked hard for that money, and if you
are thinking about retirement, you are probably too
close to the end of your asset accumulation stage to
endure a serious setback (i.e. a market correction). I
even more difficult is reining in the money train, both
during and after college.
But here’s what I ask my clients who are spending
gobs of money on their grown children: Do you want
your kids to have to support you in 20 years? Because
that’s exactly what could happen if you get into too

or even their 30s to still live at home, or to still have
their expenses covered by a parent.

With the low interest rate environment of the last several years, a lot of people have tried to make up

2. Putting your kids before yourself.
This is one of the most difficult things that I ever have
to discuss with a client, but sooner or later, you’ve got
to think of yourself. I’m a parent of two wonderful
children who have both recently gone off to college.
