COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST Job Summary An exciting and challenging opportunity exists for a Communications Specialist with our firm. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting internal communications activities aimed at raising awareness within the Firm of our strategy and successes. This position also supports external communications activities aimed at raising our profile with clients, potential clients and the media. This position involves a large volume of writing and editing as well as management of a wide range of communications materials and projects, including news releases, fact sheets, website copy, newsletters and magazine articles. Hours of work are from 9 am to 5 pm. Occasional pre-authorized overtime may be required to meet client needs. Required Knowledge and Experience A Degree in English, History, Communications, Public Relations or Journalism coupled with a minimum of 5 years of journalistic experience in the legal industry or in a professional services environment. Proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office (version 2010) suite of tools, particularly Word and PowerPoint. A broad understanding of how the media works and thorough knowledge of marketing and communications, within legal or professional services Ideally, the candidate will speak both English and French Supervision This role reports to the Branding & Marketing Manager.
