The "Is Restricted" Project View flag does not operate correctly for features that have symbology defined by multiple
display rules similar to a thematic. For example a point feature (GNIS_POINT) symbolized 3 different ways:

In the ‘Installing GeoMedia Smart Client’ document the information in Step “1. Install all prerequisites” regarding the
Oracle client requirement is confusing or incomplete depending on your perspective. The text currently states “In
case of Oracle: Make sure that the Oracle Client with ODAC Components 11.2.0.3 is installed. The correct version (in
case of instant client) can be found at: [1] --> 64-bit ODAC 11.2 Release 4 (11.2.0.3.0) for Windows x64. At least
instant client is needed”
Doc Defect
The last sentence “At least instant client is needed” implies that this is the minimum selection required on the Oracle
client installation dialog, but in fact I found that an error occurs when attempting to configure GMSC if I only select
the ‘Oracle Instant Client 11.2.0.3.0’ item when installing the ‘Oracle Data Access Components for Oracle Client
11.2.0.3.20’. To enable a successful configuration of GMSC I also selected the ‘Oracle Data Provider for .NET
11.2.0.3.0’ and ‘Oracle Providers for ASP.NET 11.2.0.3.0’ items when installing the ‘Oracle Data Access Components
for Oracle Client 11.2.0.3.20’.
Thus it appears that at least ‘Oracle Instant Client 11.2.0.3.20’ along with ‘Oracle Data Provider for .NET 11.2.0.3.0’
and/or ‘Oracle Providers for ASP.NET 11.2.0.3.0’ is required. I’m not sure which of these two additional selections is
required since I added them both, but the documentation needs to be updated with instructions to select the
appropriate component(s) as the current wording makes it sound as if only Instant Client is required.

Customer wants a simpler method for placing and editing redline circles. The current workflow requires use of the
Enhancement
‘Construction Aid’ to generate a circle that then must be converted to a redline and made active before editing which
takes multiple steps. The current workflow (as documented in the attached ‘Problem_Circle.docx’ from the region) is
inconvenient and inefficient. The SR description states "Customer can't draw circles in 'Redline'.", so it appears that
the customer would like to see the issue resolved by the addition of a ‘Draw circle ‘command on the Redline toolbar.

The problem is intermittent but support has reproduced using 2 separate data sources. Usually the problem occurs as
the user is panning at large map scales just after zoom in/out. The client will suddenly disappears. As a result there is
a large jpl2launcher.exe left in process list. The user must manually end the jpl2launcher.exe process to use.
Note: As one pans into new areas (not back and forth) with large screen of ECWP data we can see the
jpl2launcher.exe memory foot print continue to grow until the crash (obseved in testing to be ~900mb)

selecting a result in the data window and clicking 'Fit to selected', nothing happens.
For one of the queries, if use 'Zoom complete project' and then click 'Fit to selected', then that query only will work.
Zoom in and try and it will fail.
Other queries fail regardless if fitted extents or zoomed in to start with.

Note: I removed all local customisations and retested, ended up with same results.
Note: I have not been able to replicate on Intergraph VM at this stage.
Note: Intergraph NZ upgraded the servers on behalf of client.

Region reports and support has reproduced problems with server side dimensioning in 2015. The problems observed
appear to be a regression from behaviors observed for GMSC 2014 SP2. The Dimension commands in GMSC 2014 for
Simple Dimension and Orthogonal Dimension worked fine.
Added the feature for a seperate 2015 project; The Simple Dimension seem to work (at first) but the Orthogonal
Dimension failed, afterwards the dimensions could no longer be displayed in 2015. Returning to 2014 GMSC we can
see the same dimensions that do not display in 2015.

Installing GeoMedia Smart In the ‘Installing GeoMedia Smart Client’ document there is an error in step 21 which describes the necessary security Doc Defect
Client document error settings. The first sentence of step 21 states:
NetworkService should be
NETWORK SERVICE instead “Modifiy the security settings of the NetworkService for the following directories that were created during the
installation process.”
Notice that NetworkService is concatenated, but the actual group name is two separate words (i.e. NETWORK
SERVICE). This causes problems when attempting to find the appropriate group to add to the specified folders since a
search of NetworkService will not be found when using the Edit > Add > Select Users, Computer, Service Accounts, or
Groups dialog from the Security tab of the folder.
Other errors and discrepancies noticed in the Installing document…
- The word Modify is misspelled as Modifiy in the first sentence of step 21.
- The terms directories and folders are used interchangeably in the step 21 and throughout the document. The
terminology needs to be consistent (especially within a section or sentence.)
For instance the first bullet in the step 21 section states…
“..\GeoMedia SmartClient\ (and all subdirectories) (at least read)”
While the next to last bullet states…
“The Smart Client Warehouse directory and all subfolders must have full permission. “
Note that in the first bullet the term ‘subdirectories’ is used, but in the second case the term ‘subfolders’ is used
despite the fact that in the beginning of the same sentence the term ‘directory’ is used.

Observation: The Symbology name is correctly displayed.
5. Close the Print Settings dialog.
6. Delete the Alternative Symbology created in step 2.
7. Return to the Print Settings dialog.
Observation: Notice how the deleted Alternative Symbology is still displayed in the Symbology combo box. The
problem is resolved by Reloading the project.

Alternative Symbology is
A customer found the following behaviour: She defined an alternative symbology for the dimensioning layer (Working Product Defect
not applied to all Dimension level per tool) and another normal feature layer. When she applies the alternative symbology the features from the
elements
normal layers change their look and if she digitizes new dimensioning objects they have the look from the alternative
symbology.
When restarting the client the alternative symbology can be applied again. All features from the normal layer change
their color, but the dimensioning elements keep their original default color. When digitizing a new dimensioning
object this object gets the new color. So at the end you have a mix of default symbology and alternative symbology in
your dimensioning objects. The expected behaviour is that all elements will have the look of the alternative style.

I was also able to reproduce this problem in both GMSC 2014 and GMSC 2015. A more accurate summary of the
problem is that the Legend Filter fails to filter thematic entries. This is a GMSC 2015 project, but as noted above the
problem also occurs with 2014 as reported by the customer.

Need Style Property For
Text Style To Keep Text In

User has noted that when adding a text style to line to essentially label the line, that the text may be placed upside
down. The user needs to have a style property that keeps the text in right reading positions reguardless of the angle
of the line.
GeoMedia provides this style property called "Always Keep Upright" which keeps text upright and right-reading.

Data is in oracle 11g. Executed following statement BEGIN DBMS_WM.CreateWorkspace ('ROADVER'); END; and
BEGIN dbms_wm.enableVersioning('GOA_ROAD'); END;. After executing above query when i try to insert a new
feature element in LIVE as well as ROADVER workspace it gives error. When i disable versioning on GOA_ROAD i am
able to insert a new feature. I have primary key on column ID type Number in GOA_ROAD oracle schema.

If a server side 'error' occurs the end user is displayed a message
"The search raises an error on the server! Please contact the administrator"
This will cause significant work for administrartors and help desk as end users contact them to investigate errors that
are the result of system limitations.
Instead an descriptive context message should be displayed to the end user.
e.g. for the system limitation where 'search with selection' can only process max of 2100 selected map elements (refer
SR 1-681279171 / CR 1-BK83D1) a message along the lines of 'Maximum of 2100 elements can be processed by
search with selection' should be displayed. End user then understands the system limiitation and can look for an
alternative way of processing the data.

I have multiple PublishJobs which run every friday night.
If one of them ends with an error there is no possibility to recreate it other then create a new PublishJob.
There should be a possibility within the administrator to recreate such a periodical job.
Based on the SR this appears to be a request to retain a publishing job that stops due to error so that it can be
restarted manually or perhaps have an option for it to be automatically restarted after an error.

Height values of 0 for all coordinates instead of the actual Height value for the coordinates.

Problem with data grid

When executing a query within GMSC 2015 the data grid doesn't display correctly. The table is shown only partly. Via Product Defect
mouse over the columns and rows will show up. Problem has been reproduced in Java 8 builds 31 and 45, both 32bit
and 64bit were tested. Attached you'll find two videos (customer and internal) where the issue was reproduced.
