new themes!
Give your child an exciting preschool experience to remember. A different theme each
week fosters socialization and new creative
play experiences through crafts, games, story
time, music, indoor and outdoor play. So pick
a theme your child will enjoy and register early
as spaces are limited. Parental participation is
welcome, but not required.
Please pack a nut-free snack for your child
each day. Children must be able to recognize
the need to go to the washroom, be able to
function in the washroom independently
and must be a minimum of 3 years of age at
the start of the program.
All 5-day programs are eligible for
the Child Care Tax Deduction and the
Children’s Fitness Tax Credit.

einsteins & frankensteins
zombies, monsters & superheroes
What do Einstein and Frankenstein have in
common? Science! Come and help us discover
the secrets and amazing wonders of science
through safe hands-on experiments, games
and crafts. So, grab your lab coats and prepare
to enter a world of magic, mystery and wonder!
It’s a “Zombie Invasion” and there are monsters
everywhere; they are big, small, ugly, creepy
and slimy! We are calling all Superheroes to
come out and join us for an action packed,
ghoulish week and help us capture them all.
There will be a “monster mash” of freaky, gross
and creepy crafts, games and activities. This
week will give you shivers and may not be for
the squeamish. It will be “frightfully fun!”
Nut-free bag lunch and drink required
daily. Please provide your child with a hat,
sunscreen, bug repellent, drinking water,
bathing suit and towel (for water activities).
The children will be exposed to outdoor
activities for a good part of the day, so
come prepared and dress accordingly.
All 5-day programs are eligible for
the Child Care Tax Deduction and the
Children’s Fitness Tax Credit.
Daily drop-off time is 7:45–9 am and pick-up
time is 4–5 pm sharp! The program operates
from 9 am–4 pm. Note that although supervision is provided, there are no structured
programs during drop-off and pick-up times.
Please notify our office at the time of registration
if your child has special needs, is on medication or has a medical condition or allergies.

week 1
Jul 2–4
3, 2, 1 you’re on!
Lights! Camera! Action! This week is about
being a movie star, sports star, singer, dancer,
comedian, a news reporter or just being in the
media “spot-light”. Find out what it feels like
to be a celebrity; as you make your own commercials, airbands, news report or advertisement billboard. We will perform our talents at
the special event show at the end of the week.
Come be a “Star” on our “Walk of Fame!”
summer beach party
Surf’s up, Tide’s in; let the fun begin! Grab your
sunglasses, sunscreen, swimsuit and towel to
join us for some “summer fun in the sun”. During this “sizzling” week, we will do an array of
“hot” crafts, games and activities, and have
a good time soaking up the sun. Kick back,
relax and celebrate summer with us; it will be a
“sand-sational” week!
pirates of the Caribbean
Whyte Ridge School
400 Scurfield Blvd.
This week we will test our skills & stamina with
physical, mental and various other challenges
(crafts and games included). We will work
together as a team to gain points and immunity to stay ahead of the other camps and
become the “survivor” team of the week. Are
you up for the “challenge” to take some “chances” to “survive?”
mystery madness
Psst…calling all adventure seekers to come
join us for a week full of intrigue and mystical
mystery adventures. Highlights of the week
will include…oops!—I forgot, it’s a mystery
and we can’t tell! So, you’ll just have to come
investigate for yourself to see what we have in
store for you.
Ahoy mates! Time to hoist the sails and prepare
for rip roaring fun and imagine what it was like
when pirates sailed the seven seas. Jump aboard
and come join our crew as we scavenge the seas
in search for buried treasures and participate in
games, crafts and activities “pirate style”.

learn to fish • 5 years+
Fishing can be pretty complicated if you are
just learning. What kind of rod and reel do you
use? Do you use minnows or worms, a pickerel
rig or a jig? How do you tie a good knot so you
don’t let the big one get away? Where do you
catch, and how do you clean and cook them?
You’ll find the answers to these and other fishing questions at our Learn to Fish program
designed to introduce Winnipeg families to
exciting recreational angling action right
here in Winnipeg. Note: angling licenses are
not required for this program. Basic fishing
equipment is provided; children should wear
lifejackets.
