Celebrating the Class of 2016
As the year draws to a close I am privileged to share with the community the outstanding HSC
results achieved by the Class of 2016.

HSC 2016 – The Highlights

ighest ATAR Result. We congratulate Anna Coote
(co Dux of the School) on achieving the highest ATAR of
99.85. This is equal to our highest ATAR, joining Tiffany Wu
(Class of 2013). A sizeable number of Anna’s peers will also
have attained ATARs above 90, but this data is not available
to schools at the point of writing; a summary will be made
available in our February newsletter.

6 Band 6 results. The Sydney Morning Herald has ranked
the School 4th in its “Movers and Shakers” and the ‘Top 100’
position has moved from 155 in 2015 to 71 in 2016.

SC All Rounder Merit List for achieving 90% or above in
at least 10 units of study: we congratulate Christopher Bell,
Anna Coote, Rose Fuggle, Jasdeep Girn, Jacob Robertson.

SC Top Achievers List: Rose Fuggle was placed 14th in the
State in Mathematics General and Anna Coote was placed
20th in the State in Business Studies.
We congratulate Anna Coote and Rose Fuggle who, as a result of their
performance in Mathematics General 2 and Business Studies respectively,
have joined a distinguished group of High Achievers who have earned a
published place in the State.
We also congratulate Akari Ehashi and Tomoka Matsukura
who placed equal 3rd in Japanese Background through the
Saturday School of Community Languages.
• HSC Showcases: Three students were nominated; Rose
Fuggle – selected for OnStage (Drama); Kyna Diancin
nominated for ENCORE (Music); Georgia Croft for Callback
(Dance).
