Brothers and Co-workers,
M
ay 2017. Let me start off by saying it is truly an
honor for me to be elected to serve as your
Governor for another year. I only hope to keep the
positive momentum going as we start a new moose
year. I would like to thank both the men and women
officers who served this past year. Your hard work
and dedication have helped put this lodge on a path
to success.
I would also like to extend congratulations to all the
newly elected board members for both the men and
the women. It is truly an honor to be elected and if
we all work together there is nothing that we can not
accomplish at this lodge.
Sadness has struck our lodge again. It is with a heavy
heart that we lost one of our Brothers, Tom Stanley,
on April 19th and one of our Co-workers, Betty Gibson, on March 28th. Our thoughts and prayers are
with their families, and they both leave missing links
from our defending circle.
Our lodge has seen so many changes over the years,
and so many obstacles. It is through true hard work
and dedication our lodge has remained. I challenge
each and every member, both men and women, to
start this new moose year with a clean slate. Lets put
the past in the past, let by-gones be by-gones, and
moved forward together. Each and every member
who pays their dues, not only help to benefit Mooseheart and Moosehaven, but gives you a voice in the operations of this lodge. Let's start this new year and get
involved. Attend meetings, participate in functions,
volunteer for bingo, there are so many opportunities
to help at the lodge if we all work together and do
just a little I can only imagine what we can do.
Again, I am humbled to be your Governor for another
year, I along with our new board, will do everything
in our power to see this lodge succeed. We can only
be as successful as we allow ourselves to be. Get
involved, join us, and lets make this moose year the
most successful ever for Ashland.

Dear Coworkers
W
ell another year has come and gone. We have a new board of officers who is looking forward
to working closely with the men to make this year successful and fun. We have a lot of great
events planned for this year and we would ask that all members please get involved and participate in
the great things going on at your lodge. We can not be successful without our members.
Lunch with the Easter bunny went over great. We had a lot of children come out. We had all sorts of
activities , egg hunt and took pictures with the Easter bunny.
Lots of thanks to all our co-workers for donating cakes for the cake walk and those who helped
make this day great for the children.
WOTM had a lifetime membership raffle going on headed up by Kathy Rae. We finally had our draw-
ing last week and congratulations to Brenda Griffin of the Caroline Moose Lodge. She now will have a
lifetime of free fun at the lodge. Thanks Kathy Rae for all that you do and thanks to the members who
supported this fundraiser.
WOTM also donated money for chemo bags to the Massey Cancer center in honor of Katie Griffis.
This was a project that was near and dear to the hearts of many of our members.
We would like to thank Pat Chisholm who came up from Moosehaven on the 25th of May to give us
a great speech on all the reasons we should all visit Moosehaven and why we all should join her and
other members at Moosehaven in Florida. We all had a great time and enjoyed meeting her and
hearing all the great stories she had for us.
In closing I would like to personally thank all our officers past and present for helping our chapter
have a very successful year and looking forward to what we can do for our lodge this upcoming year.
We would not be successful without any of you, so Thank you and lets continue to work hard to make
our lodge great again.
