These have been identified as priorities for the District through the Board of Director’s strategic plan. The strategic plan helps Mesa Water’s Board and staff fulfill the District’s mission of being Dedicated to Satisfying our Community’s Water Needs. New Logo And Name Just one year ago, Mesa Water introduced its new logo and name to the community. The goal in creating a new brand identity is to increase awareness for better recognition by our ratepayers, community members, and other constituents. Mesa Water wants its customers to know that it is providing high-quality water to their homes and businesses. The new logo and name are now protected by copyright (logo) and trademark (“Mesa Water”) to make sure communications about your water supplies are authentically coming from the District. Dedicated to Satisfying our Community’s Water Needs Environmental Stewardship Tap Water: Safe & Affordable from Mesa Water Here’s a little known fact: It takes 36 ounces of water to make each 12 ounce bottle of water. With the majority of bottled water sourced from municipal supplies, it makes sense to drink from the tap instead of purchasing bottled water in disposable, plastic bottles from the store. The majority of those plastic bottles, even if placed in a recycling bin, end up in landfills or polluting our waterways. Most bottled water costs about $1 for an individual 20-ounce size, but tap water provided by Mesa Water costs 1 penny for 2 ½ gallons. Mesa Water provides customers with pure, highquality, soft water that meets or surpasses state and federal drinking water standards. In other words, the water from your tap is safe to drink! By minimizing the amount of bottled water you drink, you can reduce your carbon footprint, conserve water, and save money. Board of Directors James R.
