Tom Lehman Commits to 2011 Dick’s Sporting Good’s Open
Charles Schwab Cup Leader Joins Field
ENDICOTT, NY- The Dick’s Sporting Goods Open is proud to announce that golf icon Tom Lehman has formally
committed to play in the 2011 Dick's Sporting Goods Open at En-Joie Golf Course in Endicott, New York.
Tom Lehman, who currently leads the Charles Schwab Cup and money races, will be making his first appearance
at the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open. A three-time winner so far in 2011, Lehman played in the B.C. Open four times
in his PGA TOUR career, making one cut in four starts (T66 in 1983). His last appearance came in 1999. Lehman
leads the Charles Schwab Cup race with 1,494 points and the money race with $1,230,695.
Coming into the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open, Lehman is looking to make history - again. Lehman is the only player
to have claimed Player of the Year awards on both the Nationwide Tour (1991) and the PGA TOUR (1996). With
three victories on the Champions Tour in 2011, Lehman is in good shape to contend for Champions Tour Player of
the Year.
Lehman will be joining a stellar field, including fan-favorites Tom Watson, Fred Funk, Mark Calcavecchia and Nick
Price. Lehman will be defending his spot as the leader of Charles Schwab Cup, followed closely by Nick Price, Tom
Watson, David Eger and Peter Senior, all of whom are present in the 2011 Dick’s Sporting Goods Open field.
The 2011 Dick's Sporting Goods Open will be played at the En-Joie Golf Course June 20th-26th. Activities
throughout the week include a two-day Pro-Am, Women's Golf Clinic conducted by World Golf Hall of Fame
Member Donna Caponi, a Concert featuring Grammy Award-winning group Maroon 5, and Power Golf Show by
Jamie Sadlowski, two-time REMAX World Long Drive Champion.
