COACH SERVICES TO CLSG
Please note that both of these services are arranged privately between CLSG parents and the
service providers, and are not run in any way for or by the school.
North London Coach Services:
ABLE COACHES
Able Coaches of Edgware provides a minibus service to students living in North London from both
the Preparatory Department and the Senior School. Able Coaches is a Department of Transport
approved operator with a full fleet of modern vehicles. At present, minibuses deliver girls to school
in the morning between 8.15am and 8.30am and collect them at the end of the day at
approximately 4.15pm.

All Able Coaches meet current legislation and, additionally, are equipped with two-way radios (backto-base and driver-to-driver) and mobile phones. The service on offer is for a return journey, with no
reduction for single journeys, whether on a permanent or regular basis. The current charge is £6.50
per day, calculated on the number of school days in each term. Payment is made in advance for each
half term. The operators, Mr David and Mrs Eileen Andrews, will make special arrangements for
periods of study leave, extended sickness (one month or over), etc.

prospective parents. Those taking advantage of the services are asked to note that a half-term’s
notice is required if they subsequently decide to withdraw from it.
TRANSPORT4SCHOOLS
A service is also run by Transport4schools, who currently have a route through Finchley, Hampstead
Garden Suburb, Golders Green, Hampstead, Belsize Park, St John’s Wood and Primrose Hill. See their

If there is sufficient demand in other areas, they will look to extend their current routes or set up
new runs.
West London Coach Service:

7:25 am - Kensington Palace - Bus Stop M (in front of the Royal Garden Hotel)
7:30 am - Gloucester Road - Gloucester Road Station (Bus stop GS)
7:40 am - Sloane Street - Pont Street (Bus stop KL)
7:45 am - Sloane Square - Lower Sloane Square (Bus stop M)
8:20 am - Arrival at Destination - City of London School for Girls
Drop Off:
4:15 pm - Leave School - Boarding on Fore Street
4:40 pm - Sloane Square - Bus stop K
4:45 pm - Sloane Street - Bus stop KM
5:00 pm - Gloucester Road - Bus stop GR
5:05 pm - Kensington Palace - Bus Stop N
5:15 pm - Notting Hill Gate - Bus Stop G
