Remember to plan ahead for Early Release Days. Your child should
know how they are getting home or where they should go if it is
different than a regular school day.
It is essential that peechees are returned each Monday. This is
one of the major means of communication with parents. Review the
papers that are sent home on Friday, remove them from the
peechee, sign it, and return it the next school day.
Third Grade will be MAP Testing September 26-30.

Math Activities
 As a review of tens, give your child ten objects have them put some of the objects in a separate
pile and then count that pile. Then have your child identify how many object would be in the first
pile without counting them. For example there are ten pretzels in one pile, I pull 3 over into a
separate pile and I know there are 7 in the first pile because 3+7=10.
 As a review of time, have students look at a digital clock and identify the time. Then have student
tell you what the placement of the hour and minute hand would be on an analog clock.
 As a review of multiples use the activity called Multiple, Multiple, What’s the Multiple?
o For the game use multiples of 2, 5, or 10
o Have player say a list of multiples with one multiple missing, for example 2,4,6,10,12.
o The first person to say the missing multiple wins that round and gets a point and is now the
one to say the multiples, so they could say 3, 6, 9,12, 15, 21, 24
o Then the process repeats.
o Players cannot repeat lists of multiples with the same exact missing number if they do they
will lose their turn.
o For a challenge use multiples of 3 or 4.
Each day your child completes a math activity have them write the activity that was bolded and
initial that they completed it.
