Advanced Hydraulic System
Features High-Efficiency
Control Valve
A revolutionary valve—custom-tailored to meet electric
lift truck operating requirements—helps propel energy
efficiency to new heights, improving battery shift life.
A number of compelling features are designed to assist in
optimizing performance, productivity, and reliability.
• Inlet Compensator
This feature directs excess flow to the tank at a
pressure slightly above what is required for the task.
As a result, energy is not wasted operating at relief
pressure as with other valves.
• Flow Control
The valve can be adapted to the flow requirements
of the tilt and auxiliary circuits, for a more efficient,
cooler-running lift truck.
• Adjustable Pressure Settings
Relief pressure for the auxiliary circuits can be
adjusted separately from lift and tilt, assisting with
compatibility for various attachments.
4
High-Efficiency Hydraulic Motors
And Pumps
Matched for your duty cycle, high-volume pumps and powerful
motors help complete hydraulic system efficiency. To help control
maintenance costs, the hydraulic motor includes a thermal
protection circuit, designed to alert the operator in case of
overheating. For applications focused on noise management, a
pump engineered especially for low-noise operation is available
as an option. The pump uses a high-volume, split-tooth design to
help minimize noise pressure and keep frequency low—allowing a
36-volt lift truck to achieve a sound level of only 64.4 dB(A).
5
The performance and efficiency of the separately
excited drive motor can enhance your operation
by seamlessly matching a wide range of available
torque and speed outputs to your application.
This helps lead to improved efficiency that can
result in longer battery shift life. To help keep
maintenance costs low, the brush life has been
improved through advances in materials
composition, and a thermal protection circuit is
included to moderate performance in the event
of possible overheating.
The horizontal line in the graph at right shows
how, at a given speed, multiple torques can be
produced by the motor without changing speed.

Advanced Drive Control
A General Electric SX drive controller uses Metal Oxide
Semiconductor Field Effect Transistors technology to
quietly deliver power to the drive motor. Along with
smooth acceleration, the controller features enhanced
performance on ramps with rollback control. Its solidstate design eliminates the need for direction,
regenerative braking, and field-weakening contactors,
which can lead to reduced maintenance costs.
6
Hydrostatic
Steering System
The hydrostatic steering system
features tapered roller bearings
and fixed-length tie rods for
low maintenance. A heavy-duty,
fabricated axle housing helps
protect the steering cylinder
from potential damage.
Regenerative Braking
(Using The Accelerator
To Brake)
When an operator switches direction lever position
and depresses the accelerator pedal, the lift truck
slows itself down in proportion to the position of
the pedal. This helps to extend both service brake
and brush life. Energy created by the drive motor
during slow down is returned to the battery,
resulting in cooler operation.
Proportional regenerative braking (“electric
braking”) is a standard feature that can help to
reduce maintenance and improve operational
efficiency. A sister circuit in the controller is also
standard and permits auto-regenerative braking,
which automatically engages regenerative braking
upon the release of the accelerator pedal.
7
Interactive Displays
An informative LED display is standard
equipment on each lift truck. In addition to
showing battery state of charge, error codes,
and truck status, it can be used to change lift
truck performance to match the application.
Four pre-programmed modes can be chosen at
the touch of a button. It can also be used as a
diagnostic tool, showing 16 controller fault
history events in sequence.
Optional LCD Display
An enhanced LCD display is an available
option. Among its features are a brush wear
indicator, clock, speedometer, and five-digit
hour meter. It can also be used to change lift
truck performance. To more precisely tailor
performance to the application, the
performance modes of the drive control and
optional transistor hydraulic control can be
selected independently. Up to 16 performance
combinations are available on a lift truck
equipped with transistor hydraulic control.
To enhance its use as a diagnostic tool, the
display tracks the time and date for each
controller fault history event, thereby
providing information that may help reduce
maintenance costs.
8
Comfortable Seat
The spacious operator’s compartment includes
a comfortable seat with fully contoured seat
and back cushions to help improve support
and security. A cloth-covered seat and a cloth,
semi-suspension seat are available as options.
Replacement seat cushions are also available.
Flex-Comfort Restraint
System
Standard on every electric Cat lift
truck, the resilient section gives the
operator extra freedom when turning
for reverse travel.

NOTE: These specifications assume the use of drive axles, tires and tilt angles specified. Any modification to specifications, or any other combination
of specifications made after the shipment of the truck, requires prior written approval from Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. (“MCFA”). (See ASME
B56.1 Part II 4.2.) Also be advised that overall operating visibility may be affected by the mast configuration and mast options of your truck. Therefore,
you may need to add ancillary [auxiliary] devices or modify your operating practices. Consult your dealer for further information.
