Egypt is seriously keen to continue playing a prominent role within Africa including a
strong contribution to peace protection processes, and conflict settlement aimed at
achieving security and stability. President Mohammad Hosni Mubarak's directives
passed on 5/9/2008 coined the above mentioned commitment. He instructed to continue
offering humanitarian aid to Ethiopia when severe famines stroke some areas of the
country.
