Well done!
Thank you to SOS who provided the funds to make our Christmas Party Day so
special. All the children loved the visit from the reindeers and enjoyed Kimmo’s
entertaining afternoon. Y5 and Y6 thought the pantomime was great too. Even
Father Christmas made an appearance in our Santa’s Grotto! Thank you to the
parents who also provided an excellent spread of party food for the children.
Well done to the choir who sang at the Wesleyan Chapel on Monday and again on
the school playground on Tuesday. Not long until they will be singing at the Arena
in the Young Voices concert.
What an excellent performance of ‘Lights!, Camel!, Action!’ from Foundation Stage.
The children were brilliant and their singing and dancing was amazing! Such a
lovely way to end our Christmas performances.
FS2 and KS1
Hot school lunches are free for all children in FS2 and KS1. If your child is not having a school lunch
every day, please send a slip to school on Monday morning stating which days they will be bringing a
packed lunch from home.
KS2
School meals cost £2.00 per day (£10.00 per week) and cash or cheques should be sent into school
each Monday. Cheques are to be made payable to Sheffield City Council. Payment can be made
online by using SIMs Agora
Information regarding our Breakfast Club has been sent out this week. If you
would like to register your interest to receive a booking form in January please
either email [email protected] detailing your child’s
name, class and the mornings you would be interested in or complete the reply slip
sent with the letter and return to Catherine Askham. If you would be interested in
applying for the Breakfast Club Co-ordinator or Playworker positions, please also
contact Catherine for further information.
From 1st January you will be able to pay for school lunches via SIMs Agora. If you
have not already registered your account and would like the expiry date of your
reference extending, please contact the school office. You will still have the option
to pay for lunches by cash or cheque as well as Agora.
We would like to say goodbye and good luck to Jo Allen who is leaving us to go
on maternity leave. She is being replaced with Tanya Moorhouse who will start
as a TA in Y5 in January.
Thank you to Gill Stevenson who is resigning from her role of Lunchtime
Supervisor today and is being replaced by Stacey Leverton who starts in January.
Gill remains in school as a TA in Y4.
Children who have been attending Early Risers will have received a letter to say
that their sessions have now finished. Following a review of the programme
those children who we feel would benefit by attending will be sent a letter in the
new year.
We have been experiencing a few problems with our emails this week. If you
have sent something to either enquires@ or breakfastclub@ and haven’t
received a reply, please resend your email or contact the school office. Thank
you.
Filming of the dress rehearsal performances of all three Christmas shows has
taken place with a view to produce DVDs for you to purchase. If you do not wish
your child to appear in the DVD please return the consent refusal form sent out
this week by Tuesday 3rd January. If we do not have any refusals returned,
letters for orders will be sent out in the new year.
Thank you to the Sheffield Music Hub for providing the whole school with such a
wonderful performance on Thursday. It certainly got the children into the
Christmas spirit.
Y6 children are visiting Weston Park Museum on Wednesday 4 th January with Y5
visiting on Thursday 5th. They will need to bring a drink and a packed lunch for
those who haven’t already ordered a Grab Bag.
