Historically a Scottish Mansion House and traditional family
home built in 1870, the original features and intricate detail
in the house still exist today including the romantic latin
inscriptions around the private and intimate family chapel.
In 1965 this family home became a small privately run hotel
and from there developed into Dundee’s most exciting and
award winning hotel.

formally known as The Landmark Hotel. The hotel
completed a £4m refurbishment, was awarded Dundee Hotel

Mansion House
DoubleTree by Hilton Dundee is originally a Scottish Mansion House set in its own landscaped grounds. The hotel offers
you a choice of both traditional elegance and modern facilities with a selection of ceremony & reception rooms to
accommodate all celebrations. Ceremonies can also be held in the beautiful landscaped gardens in the summer months.

We would like to recommend that you arrange an appointment to visit the hotel and to meet with our dedicated wedding

Within our 19th Century Mansion House, on the first floor there are two charming suites with bags of history and character that can be used for
your ceremony or wedding breakfast. The foyer is home to the cosy fireplace and beautifully hand crafted staircase. The private Mansion House
can be used to host your evening reception for up to 80 guests, with a private bar and its own entrance it’s the perfect Scottish fairytale venue.
The Dargie Suite
Originally the grand dining room of the Mansion House with high ceilings, bay windows and views over the acres of private gardens. This suite
accommodates up to 90 guests for a ceremony, 60 guests for a wedding breakfast and can also be used along with the other parts of the house to host your
evening reception for up to 80 guests.
The Greystanes Suite
This suite is historically named after the original name of this well known house. This room is the original private Chapel and a stunning setting for an
intimate ceremony for up to 50 guests or a wedding breakfast for up to 24 guests. Typically Scottish, and a little contradictory, it can also turn into a bar
for a private drinks reception or evening reception when used with other areas of the house.

ideal for getting ready on the morning of the wedding and for romantic honeymoon suites.
We understand that planning a wedding can be a daunting prospect so through our years of experience we have put together
an order of your day which we hope will help you get started. You are of course welcome to suggest your own timeline and we
would be happy to discuss this with you.
1PM
Ceremony - If your ceremony is out-with the hotel you should adjust your
timings allowing sufficient travelling time to ensure you arrive at the hotel
for 2PM.

Drinks reception - Your guests can relax in your preferred drinks
reception location whilst your photographer arranges your photographs.
3.00PM
Photographs - time for those all-important photos.
A mock cake cutting photo is a great opportunity to capture the perfect
picture of both of you on your own before your guests are around to start
taking all their pictures. After your cake cutting picture your wedding
co-ordinator will help get you ready for your receiving line if you decide to
formally greet your guests. If you do not wish to do a receiving line then
this gives you the opportunity to join your guests for the remainder of your
drinks reception.
A receiving line can also be performed immediately after your ceremony if
you wish to add a more contemporary feel to your timeline.
Guest Accommodation
We are delighted to offer your guests a discounted accommodation rate should they decide to stay at the hotel for your wedding. There is further
discount if a two night stay is booked. All of our wedding guests accommodation rates include a full Scottish breakfast and full use of Club Quad
during their stay.
Please ask your wedding co-ordinator for further information about your guest’s accommodation.
Families
We can accommodate families with young children in one of our Deluxe rooms with a sofa bed suitable for one to two children under 10 years,
alternatively we have interconnecting rooms to allow more space and privacy.
Our Interconnecting bedrooms are also ideal for the bride and bridesmaids to stay together the night before the wedding providing two bathrooms and extra
space to get ready for the big day.
The Next Day
3.50PM
Speeches are announced by your toastmaster. You may decide to follow the
more traditional timeline and have speeches after your wedding breakfast.
4.30PM
Your wedding breakfast service commences following the speeches.
6.00PM
You and your guests will make your way to the hotel’s Bar Lounge for
some down time before your evening guests arrive. You are of course
welcome to start your evening reception as early as you would like and
your reception room will be ready for you from 6PM.
7.00PM
Your evening guests begin to arrive in your chosen function suite. Your
band will be set up by this point allowing you to start your celebrations.
7.30PM
You will take to the floor to officially cut your cake for your guests. The
hotel will then remove your cake from the dance floor leaving you to enjoy
your first dance.
9.30PM
Your evening buffet is served.
Invite your guests to have a long lie and join you for a Champagne breakfast or brunch to re-live the magic of your special day. Alternatively, host a relaxed
barbeque on the outdoor patio or sit down to a farewell lunch or dinner in a private dining room. This is an ideal opportunity to see your family and
friends before setting off on your honeymoon as the new Mr & Mrs.

Your wedding breakfast is announced by the hotels toastmaster for your
guests to take their seats in your chosen dining room. At this point we like
to let you sneak away for a few minutes of alone time to rest your feet,
chat about your wedding day and have a well deserved glass of bubbly.
Your toastmaster will announce you into your wedding breakfast as the newly
wedded Mr & Mrs and you will be seated at your top table. You may wish to
have your piper pipe you to your seats and you may wish to take part in the
traditional ‘Piper’s toast’.
12.30AM Your evening reception comes to an end. Your private bar will close at
12.45AM however any guests who are resident in the hotel are welcome
to make their way to the main hotel bar/lounge where service can resume.
Please be aware that no cash can be exchanged at this point and all
purchases will be billed to your guest’s bedrooms.

CLARITY...
For both comfort and reassurance we will issue you with a copy of our wedding terms & conditions
upon booking your wedding at Doubletree by Hilton Dundee.
Provisional Booking
The hotel can provisionally hold a date for you for up to 14 days without obligation.
Confirmation
To confirm your wedding a non-transferable and non-refundable deposit of £500 is required along with a signed copy of your terms
and conditions.
Minimum Numbers
There are minimum numbers of 60 day guests required for Saturday’s throughout the year. If you book your wedding on a Saturday and
your numbers fall less than the minimum number, a supplement charge will be applied. No minimum numbers apply for Sunday to Friday
weddings (excluding Bank holidays).
Facility Fee
A facility fee of £500 will apply for all weddings held at the hotel which are booked on the Rose, Jasmine or Orchid Packages. The All
Inclusive Wedding Packages include a complimentary hire and no facility fee will be applied.

Prices are inclusive of VAT and are correct at the time of print. They may be subject to change.
