ADVANTEK's Type PS1® Cover Tape is an antistatic,
0.001" Polyester Base Film
0.0007" Adhesive Composition
transparent, pressure sensitive adhesive cover tape.
It is engineered to protect and contain surface mount
components in ADVANTEK’s embossed polystyrene
carrier tape. PS1 is unique as a cover tape in that
adhesive is applied only to the edges of the material
that is to adhere to the carrier tape surface, leaving
transparent base film in the center.
When used in conjunction with Carrier Tapes,
LOKREEL® packaging reels and Static Shielding /
Moisture Barrier Bags, PS1 completes ADVANTEK’s
line of products and provides a complete package
for surface mount components.
Type PS1 Cover Tape complies with industry standards
set forth in EIA-481 and has been proven to perform with
the following ADVANTEK Carrier Tape materials:
• Types C, X, V & T Static Dissipative Polystyrene
• Types J, K, L & O Homogenous Polystyrene
Clarity
Type PS1 Cover Tape is transparent with adhesive only applied to the edges of the film,
a unique feature that allows users to conduct post taping in-pocket inspection of
components.
Configurations
Type PS1 Cover Tape is provided with 500 meters (standard) splice free on a 3” inner
diameter plastic core. Widths available include all EIA standard widths for carrier tapes
