triple honor
W
ith a beautiful newly-decorated
lobby and ballrooms, the
Newport Beachside Hotel in
Sunny Isles Beach proved to be the perfect
site for a business EXPO for the Aventura
Marketing Council/World-Class Chamber
of Commerce and the Greater North Miami
Beach Chamber who teamed up for this
special event.
As the sun began to set , exhibitors came
pouring into the Newport to set up their
display tables, eagerly ready to greet
hundreds of business leaders from
throughout South Florida who were invited
to enjoy an evening of networking and
superb one-on-one business contacts.
Over 40 exhibitors filled the Atlantis
Ballroom overlooking the ocean as 200+
members from the two organizations filled
the room to visit each and every display. DJ
music was expertly served up by Ran Oz,
CEO of CooLAM Productions and
photographer Andy Goldstein was on hand
to capture the outstanding networking and
business contacts that were happening.
The Newport’s fabulous Chef Julius Brown
created the most amazing hors d’oeuvres…
.from sliders to lobster salad sandwiches…
..matching the great hospitality of the
Newport’s ace team of leaders: Wolfgang
Wehen, David Krech, Vladimir Michel,
Lance Detotto and Pamela Presley.
“It was an honor to host such an
important event for the Aventura Marketing
Council and the Greater North Miami
Beach Chamber,” said David Krech,
Complex Director of Sales and Marketing.
“We hope all those attending were
impressed with our new look and all the
improvements we have made at Newport
Beachside Hotel and Resort. We highly
value our strong partnership with these two
Chambers of Commerce and their
members, and look forward to sharing an
amazing future with all.”

When one member of a city’s police
department is honored by serving as the
leader of one of their industry
organizations, that’s wonderful. And
when a second member of that same
police department is given that same
honor a few years later, that is
amazing—something for the entire city
to applaud. But when a third member
of the department is selected for that
honor a few years following, then you
know that there is something very, very
special about the leadership, training

And then, of course, there was the
networking...the amazing one-on-one
opportunities to meet hundreds of
businesspeople. The true test was the
response of the exhibitors.
“We made some quality business
connections and we were able to engage in
more of a conversation with guests. There
was definitely interest shown from the
attendees.” Alina Sanchez, VP, Branch
Sales and Service Manager, Mercantil
Commercebank.
"DECON Environmental enjoyed
interacting with so many engaged attendees
were seeking new connections and business
opportunities! It was a great EXPO to
exhibit at, having recently joined AMC!"
Jonathan Finch, Director of Business
Development, DECON Environmental.

Topping off a great evening was the
drawing of the Grand Prize-- a weekend at
the Newport which included dinner for
