Collaboration with Taylor Elementary school and the IDEA Space at CC to use
objects based learning and Visual Thinking Strategies for increasing writing
skills. Includes supporting curator of IDEA space in grant work from National
Endowment for the Arts to increase community programming for youth by
developing student tours and increasing CC student participation.
Development of Specialized Internship program for MAT program, recruiting
community partners, creating matching process and MOU, as well as year round
procedures; supported staff, students and partners.
Development of database to track students interested in Education, including all
minors and possible CC applicants to MAT program for advising and to support
changes in our department
Brought Stephan Haff to campus for ED320 in collaboration with Scott Johnson
in the Art department, ABE consortium and District 11.
Collaborated with PCE and student life to create Community Engaged Leadership
Program, complete with outcomes, application, advising procedures and policies
Pilot program with Cornerstone Arts Initiative IDEA space,
Created a K-12 licensure program from the secondary license for teacher
candidates in art, music and foreign language licensure.
