Basic Professional Services
1. Co-ordination activities, rites, ceremonies $1595
(Includes fee’s for our funeral home personnel to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and to coordinate and
direct funeral arrangements with family, make arrangements for newspaper, cemetery, church, set up of remains,
receiving, placing and care of flowers, the receiving of visitors and donations and masses, proper handling and
distribution of funds, serving of coffee and tea, maintenance of interior and exterior facilities, maintenance of
vehicles for funeral, parking of vehicles, directing of funeral by a licensed funeral director and staff, distribution of
flowers and any assistance in cemetery set-up, etc...)
2. Documentation $290
(Fee’s for processing all necessary documents, including the provision of 3 Funeral Director’s death certificates,
attending at City Hall for registration of death, attending at Doctor’s or Coroner’s office or hospital to obtain
necessary documents (where applicable), delivery of burial permit to cemetery or crematorium.)
3. Removal and Transfer $195
(Fee for staff member(s) and use of vehicle and equipment for the transfer from place of death to funeral home.
Mileage over and above 50 km will be charged at a rate from $1.10 to $1.50 per kilometer each way depending on
mileage total.)
4. Basic Preparation of Remains $195
(Requires Facilities for preparation/ embalming/ shelter) Includes dressing, bathing, setting features, placing in
casket or container selected by family (no embalming). Allows for 2 people for 15 minutes at the convenience of
the funeral home to come Identify the remains. We reserve the right to refuse identification of un-embalmed
remains due to the condition of the remains. We strongly suggest that identification takes place as soon as
possible at the institution where the death had occurred. This service is intended for identification only and not for
visitation purposes.
5. Preparation and Embalming $495
(Embalming of remains for the preservation and viewing including: bathing, dressing, cosmetics, hairdressing and
placing in casket. ( A cost recovery charge may apply on special handling of infectious remains which are to be
handled by a registered waste disposal company.)

6.Facilities Embalm, Prepare/Shelter $160
(Use of preparation room, sundry items required and shelter of deceased) Facilities used to prepare, embalm and
shelter the body. Encompasses the use of the laboratory for the shelter of the remains. Used of this room is
monitored by the Porcupine Health Unit and is not accessible to the public, which allows for the accommodation of
the deceased between the death and burial and /or cremation.
7. Staff Direction of Funeral $695
The Direction of the funeral by a licensed Funeral Director and Funeral Director Assistant.
8. Staff Services for Visitation $350
Includes staff to be available to receive family and friend during visitation and/or service, as well as the setup of
flowers and personalized tribute for a period of no more than 1 afternoon and 1 evening.
9. Facilities for visitation / Ceremony $895
(This minimum fee is levied in all cases for use of our facilities including: parking areas, areas open to the general
public within our establishment, our conference room, the casket selection room and cremation urns display area
and the use of all our professional equipment. Based on one afternoon and/or evening visitation or up to 4 hour
same day visitation.

Waiting Time
If we are required by the family to wait for cremated remains at the crematorium

Composing & Submission of Death notice
This service is offered to families where the service was held in another community and the family would like for
us to compose and submit the death notice to the Selected Newspaper and this also includes the death notice to
appear on our website.

Removal of pacemaker
The removal of a pacemaker or implant will be carried out by a licensed professional and properly disposed.

Professional Restorative Procedures
In some circumstances, additional restorative efforts beyond those captured in the standard embalming procedure
are necessary to enhance the appearance of the deceased. In such cases, the funeral director will discuss the
available options and their cost. Professional restorative procedures will be charged per hour.

Other preparation of deceased
This is for the preparation of a deceased from other facilities. This may include dressing, the application of
cosmetics, hairdressing and casketing.

Deliver, set up and use of equipment necessary for visitation at a location other than the funeral establishment.

Refundable Deposit for cremated remains
When human remains are to be cremated, a refundable deposit will be required to be paid. If the cremated
remains are not claimed within one year of the cremation. The deposit may be used to inter the cremated remains
in common ground. If the cremated remains are claimed before they are interred, the deposit will be refunded.

Reception facilities
If you wish to use our facilities following a funeral service, it will include the following,

Payment Terms & Conditions
The funeral home requires a $3000 deposit and reserves the right to demand full payment of the contract be made
in advance of the funeral services and merchandise being delivered. The purchaser agrees to pay the balance
owing within 30 days, after which interest will be calculated and charged in accordance with the terms of payment
set out in the contract. Interest will be charged on any overdue amount at the rate of 1.5% per month (equivalent
to 18% per annum) until the date of payment is made in full. The funeral home will accept credit card payment for
deposits only to a maximum of $3000.
Failure to Pay
If the purchaser(s) fail to make payments required under the contract to the funeral home all expenses of
collection, including court costs and reasonable lawyer fees incurred by the funeral home in pursuing the claim
against the purchaser will be paid by the purchaser.
Prepayment Funding
For your convenience, we offer two funding options when prepaying services or supplies. When prepaying, you
pay for the services and supplies today and the money will be used to pay for the services and supplies when they
are delivered at the time of death.
Trust: You may pay the money directly to us and we will place it in trust, where it will accrue interest until the
contract is fulfilled (when the services and supplies are delivered) or the contract is cancelled.
Insurance: You may purchase an insurance contract where the proceeds of the insurance contract will be used to
pay for the services or supplies at the time they are delivered or the contract is cancelled. 26
