2015 Facts and Figures

ABOUT Us
Renown Health is a locally owned, not-for-profit integrated
health network and Accountable Care Organization. Being
not-for-profit means that all of our income stays here — to
improve the care and services for our community. We bring
together healthcare providers, programs and services to
seamlessly coordinate the healthcare needs of the community.
We serve a 17-county region that includes northern Nevada, Lake
Tahoe and northeast California. Today, meeting the healthcare
needs of the community means much more than simply providing
care within our facilities — we are taking our focus on health and
well-being out into the communities we serve.
PROUDLY Not-For-Profit
As Reno’s only locally owned not-for-profit health network, all
of our earnings stay right here and are reinvested in programs,
people and equipment to better serve our communities. Local
citizens play a pivotal role in how those dollars are spent. More
than 140 community members serve on Renown boards or in
advisory capacities.
COMMUNITY Benefit
We’re thinking outside of our four walls to make an impact
on the health of our communities. In just one year, we spent
$107 million for research, community initiatives, education
and non-reimbursed health services. We contribute to more
than 50 local not-for-profit organizations each year and invest
approximately $40 million annually on capital improvements
— such as buildings, equipment and technology — to better
serve our community.
Economic IMPACT
Overall, our total economic impact is projected to be
$1.28 billion1, and we are responsible for 9,400
direct and indirect jobs.
