It is therefore essential that a sufficient quantity of a suitable antifreeze is added in order to prevent water freezing. If there is any possibility that the refrigerated fluid may come into contact with foodstuffs, it is necessary to use a non-toxic antifreeze (for example, propylene glycol). • The nominal cooling capacity of the GA-LB unit is based on a 40% solution of antifreeze at an evaporator outlet liquid temperature of -5 °C and an ambient air temperature of 35 °C. Cooling capacity corrections for other liquid and air temperatures can be made using the correction factor table relevant to this unit. Cooling capacity corrections, as applicable, should also be made when selecting suitable terminal units (air treatment coils and fan coils). • The cooling capacity of the GA-LB will, to some degree, increase/decrease in accordance with outdoor ambient temperature change. To accurately determine unit cooling capacity at a particular outdoor ambient temperature, it is necessary to use the cooling capacity correction factor table applicable to this unit.
