Tip of the Week
Help your child build self-confidence
by encouraging him to try new things,
like reading a different type of book,
taking a dance class, or trying a new
sport.

new kind of army - The Army
of the KIND.”

Reading Counts- 4th nine weeks
Reading Counts points count as 1 quiz grade. The
goal for the fourth 9 weeks is 40 pts! Extra points
will carry over from the 1st – 3rd nine weeks. Please
help your child reach this goal by encouraging them
to read 20 minutes every night.
Behavior
As we move into the home stretch of fourth grade,
please remind your child how important it is to stay
focused, follow school rules, and finish on a positive
note. We have several fun things planned (trips,
parties, field day) and students not meeting
expectations may not be included.
Websites
The EVERYDAY MATH website is an EXTREMELY
VALUABLE resource. The EVERYDAY MATH link
can be found on FCSC’s ELEMENTARY TOOLBOX.
It is LOADED with valuable tools… online tutorials,
student reference book, and GAMES! The games
reinforce the skills we are working on in class and
the students are having fun while playing!
Compass Learning at home! This is a great resource
to help your child at home by reinforcing learned
skills or teaching new skills and concepts. Simply
have them log on to Compass Learning using their
school login information. The link for Compass
Learning can be found on the Elementary Toolbox
website (same place as the Everyday Math link).
